Love Island's Tom Clare and Molly Smith's unconventional romance as pair are set to wed in Mallorca TODAY - after their raucous legal ceremony resulted in guests passing out

Tom Clare and Molly Smith are proof that reality TV dating shows can actually work.

The pair won the All Stars series of Love Island and have seen their relationship go from strength to strength.

Since leaving the villa in 2024, they have been one of the only couples to stand the test of time.

Last month, the couple tied the knot at Stockport Town Hall, where their raucous legal ceremony resulted in guests passing out.

Now, Tom, 26, and Molly, 32, are set for a bigger celebration with family and friends in Mallorca today (August 22).

They are understood to have chosen the stunning clifftop 17th-century marble temple Son Marroig for their Spanish nuptials, which cost around £10,000, according to The Sun.

Ahead of their larger wedding celebration, the Daily Mail has taken a look back at their unconventional romance.

Love Island fans watched the pair fall in love after they appeared on the All Stars version of the show. They had both previously appeared on separate series of Love Island.

Tom had finished third on series nine alongside Samie Elishi, while Molly had been a Casa Amor bombshell on series six where she met Callum Jones.

Tom and Samie ended up splitting a month after leaving the villa, while Molly and Callum called it quits after three years.

Sources close to Molly and Callum told the Daily Mail that they broke up because the model wanted to get engaged and it never happened.

A source told The Sun: 'It's really sad as they were a sweet couple together, but it's over – and has been for a few weeks.

'I think in the end, Molly wanted to get engaged, and that didn't happen.

'Everyone was really surprised when they split as they were perfectly matched.'

The couple never publicly commented on the split.

Molly and Tom went on to win the first All Stars season, with Callum and Jess Gale placing second, Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie coming third

Molly then made a triumphant return to All Stars as a bombshell alongside her ex Callum.

During her second time in the villa, fans desperately wanted the exes to reignite their relationship.

Instead, they found a way to be friends, and Molly discovered something new and exciting with Tom.

Molly and Tom went on to win the season, with Callum and Jess Gale placing second, Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie coming third.

Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran placed fourth, and Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk came fifth in the final.

Speaking to Indiyah Polack on The Morning After podcast after their win, the couple were asked about their boyfriend and girlfriend status.

Not one to hold back, Tom replied, 'Yeah, that's the plan. I feel like obviously we've had the best time in here and obviously I want her to be my girlfriend. I've only got eyes for Mol.'

On how it feels to be the series winners, Molly admitted, '[It's] bizarre, I'm still in a bit of a daze actually.'

The following month, the pair revealed they had indeed made their relationship official.

The couple then confirmed that they had moved in together to Molly's place in Manchester during an episode of Love Island Aftersun.

Molly previously teased the idea, telling Olivia Attwood on her So Wrong It's Right podcast that the professional footballer would be moving into her home in Manchester.

Tom, who at the time lived in Battersea, London, with his best pal Casey, had been fluttering in between his home and Molly's.

Molly said at the time: 'He lives in Battersea but he's moving out. So poor Casey's probably thinking, Oh great. I'm stealing him. But he's moving in with me in Manchester.

'So I know people probably think like, "oh it's quite quick", but we've practically lived together from the day we've met, and he's practically living at mine now. Slowly but surely there's been drawers getting filled up.

Olivia said: 'So he's been moving himself in unofficially.'

Five months after winning Love Island, the pair took their relationship to the next level by buying their first house together.

In a joint post, the Love Island stars posted a video of them clinking champagne glasses outside their lavish new home, along with pooch Nelly, as they penned in the caption: 'Home is where the heart is' - We've officially bought our first home we couldn't be happier.'

Molly also tagged the couple's new home renovation account, which reads: 'Get ready for the house renovation because it’s going to be a good one'.

They were inundated with messages of support from their fellow islanders as they rushed to congratulate the pair on the milestone.

In August 2025, Tom popped the question to Molly during a romantic proposal in Dubai

Shortly afterwards, Tom teased engagement plans, telling The Sun: 'I know I'm going to marry that girl and I tell her and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.

'So there's no other girl I want to be with. You don't rush those type of things they happen naturally, she is the girl I want to be with.'

A year later, Tom popped the question to Molly during a romantic proposal in Dubai.

They captioned snaps from Dubai: 'SHE SAID YES!!!' as Tom sweetly lifted her into the air.

Molly looked gorgeous in a white silk dress as she showed off the sparkling ring while surrounded by candles and white flowers.

She previously revealed that her dad was left in tears when Tom asked for permission to marry her.

The pair revealed how Tom secretly asked Molly's dad for his blessing during a family barbeque at their home.

Speaking on their podcast NearlyWeds after taking over Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo's wedding podcast, Tom explained: 'When I asked your dad, that I wanted to take your hand in marriage, we were at our family barbecue.

'Your family were there and my family was there. But because we were going away I was like this is the time I need to ask your dad.

'And I said, "John will you just come have a look at this in the garage for me?" And he was like straight up because he likes to help.

'And then I pulled him in. I was like, "Oh, John, like obviously me and Mo are going away." And I really want to ask her to to marry me. Obviously, I wanted to ask you for for permission first.

'And then he teared up. He did tear up and then gave me a big hug, which I thought was really really nice.'

Molly added: 'It's quite reassuring isn't it'.

As preparations for their wedding got underway, the couple revealed they sold their first home in April this year, just 18 months after purchasing it.

They had already begun home renovations on the property and completed their kitchen makeover just before Christmas.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, they explained: 'We have actually sold the house and are looking to buy another one.'

Molly added: 'My mum said to me, 'You're doing the two of the most stressful things in life, which is trying to move house and trying to get married.'

'As well as the [NearlyWeds] podcast, we've got quite a lot going on. It's great though, I love being busy.'

Despite falling in love with their first home, the couple are planning on finding their new 'forever home' after the wedding.

Tom added: 'We knew it was always gonna happen. We probably thought we'd be in there a bit longer. But yeah, we want our next house to be our forever home where we have a family and like host people and stuff like that.'

At the time, the couple were less than four months away from saying 'I Do' in front of their friends and family.

Bride-to-be Molly shared some light-hearted advice for future newlyweds about the wedding budget ahead of their big day.

'When you get a bill through, just pay it and don't tell your husband because what you don't know, won't hurt', Molly joked. 'I just say, "Oh, don't worry about it, it's sorted!"

The price of weddings nowadays comes along with a hefty price tag - something Tom shared he wasn't aware of.

The footballer lifted the lid on the hidden costs that comes with a wedding, revealing Molly wanted to spend £4,000 on fairy lights.

'It was £4,000 for fairy lights, which I think is absolutely f****** ridiculous', Tom said.

Molly quipped: 'He was too aware of the fairy lights, you see and he went on and on about it. So in the end, I thought, I'll just pay it out the joint account, then there's nothing you can do.

'I know it's ridiculous. I fully agree with you, but it will look beautiful. Don't get us wrong, we're not being absolutely ridiculous. We've got a budget.'

Ahead of tying the knot, Tom enjoyed a stag do in Las Vegas while Molly had her hen in Ibiza.

Molly celebrated in style with her pals as she hit the beach on the party island in a personalised strapless white bikini which boasted 'Return to Tom' on the bottoms.

Styling her blonde tresses in loose waves, the TV personality opted for a woven cowgirl hat as she soaked up the sun and sipped on cocktails.

Molly added a sheer white 'Mrs Clare' sarong over the racy two-piece as she fanned herself with a 'In my bridal era' fan.

In the evening, the bombshell slipped into a sexy white lace dress which boasted a sheer long skirt as she headed for dinner at the beach.

Molly toted her belongings in a £3,850 gold crystal Prada handbag and flashed her dazzling engagement ring as the sun set over the ocean.

The stunner couldn't contain her smile as she posed up a storm for photos with her pals, who were all dressed in pink and orange.

She wrote: 'In my bridal era'.

Meanwhile, her husband-to-be Tom jetted off to Las Vegas with his pals, including Love Island's Casey O’Gorman and Mitch Taylor.

Speaking on Tom's NearlyWeds podcast, Casey said: 'We went over minimum spend at the pool parties but not by much and it was worth it. Those bottles of tequila were worth it.

'I think minimum spend for the pool parties was about $3,500? $4,000? I think we went to about $6,000 on the first beach club. Then second beach club we hit about…'

Tom echoed Casey, adding: 'It really wasn’t that bad,' noting how it worked out at about $500 a head split between everyone.

Casey also shared how glad he was that they all thought ahead to book tables at the pool parties, noting how 'entries to get into these pool parties is about $100.'

Tom's best man Casey, provided the husband-to-be and all his stags skimpy speedos with Molly's face on which they modelled for a slew of cheeky snaps.

Tom showcased his buff physique as he and best man Casey slipped into the pink budgie smugglers.

The wild poolside celebrations also saw the star and his pals partying hard as they waved huge photos of glam Molly while soaking up the sunshine.

After their stag and hen do's, the pair tied the knot in a stunning legal ceremony at Stockport Town Hall in Manchester.

Announcing the joyful news on Instagram, Molly captioned the post: 'Husband and wife.'

The bride looked flawless in a white minidress as she kissed her new husband after saying 'I Do' in the registry office.

Earlier this month, the pair shared that the 'stress' from their upcoming wedding has begun to set in, after their legal ceremony took a raucous turn.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Molly and Tom admitted they've had a few 'wobbles' while dealing with last-minute preparations for their big day.

The pair also shared how their legal wedding concluded with dinner at The Ivy, which ended with guests 'dancing on tables', while their best man Casey ended up 'in a heap on the floor'.

Molly said: 'It's got to the stressful part, just because we're weeks out and only because it's invoices being sent and all the last bits that you start to panic about and then you start getting people asking you questions, like texting you.

'So then it starts to get a little bit stressful in that sense. So I have had a little wobble.'

Tom added: 'We just want it all to be perfect, but like you said, there's just like little bits, people asking silly questions.

'It's not too bad, but just because we want it to go so well and we've put time and effort into it. I think we're just about there. You've had a few little meltdowns.'

Agreeing with her partner, Molly said: 'Tom's so chilled. Normally you're super, super chilled, but Tom stress cleans, so I know when you're stressed because you'll go upstairs and start hoovering or something like that!'

Tom and Molly spoke to the Daily Mail while attending Hitched.co.uk's Summer Social Mixer, giving everyone the lowdown on their upcoming wedding.

Luckily the couple are in good stead for the big day itself as their legal ceremony was a 'really special and intimate' occasion.

The couple have spoken openly about the wedding planning process with their followers, but shared they wanted to keep details about their UK-based day under wraps.

After they tied the knot, Molly and Tom shared that they headed to The Ivy for a celebratory dinner with close friends and family, but things ended up being more raucous than they expected.

Molly shared: 'It started like so calm and classic. And then by the end of it, Casey was in a heap on the floor. We were on the tables dancing.

'Everyone just went to the Ivy and we just had a private room.'

Tom added: 'As soon as the door shut, everyone just seemed to go mental!'

Sharing insight into her dress from her first big day, Molly said: 'I didn't really have a dress in mind for the legal. I didn't have... any kind of inspiration. I looked a little bit on Pinterest and I knew I wanted a little pillar box hat.

'But apart from that, I had no idea what I wanted to wear for the legal.

'And then I just found that dress and was like, ''oh, simple, it's cute, it's different from the wedding dress'.'

'And I thought, I'll just go for that. But I wasn't too fussed to be honest, because I knew it was just going to be super intimate. So yeah, but I did end up really loving the whole little look.'

Like many brides, Molly said she expected a lengthy search for the dress she planned to wear in Mallorca, but ended up choosing the first one she tried on, even leaving her mum and close pals in tears when she found it.

She said: 'Everyone used to say, ''oh, then it's the first dress you try on',' and I was like, ''it's not going to be'.

'My mum was already stressing, she was thinking, from when I went prom dress shopping all them years ago, she said I was a nightmare.

'So when I walked in the wedding dress shop and the lady said ''right go around and pick some'' I was looking around and I just looked at my mum and my friend and I said ''I don't even know where to start here.'''

'I sent one to my friend on Instagram and then ended up picking out some dresses and the first dress I tried on is the dress that I ended up going for.

'My mum cried, I welled up a bit, Sophie was a bit teary, but I fought it because I thought, ''it can't be, it's because it's the first dress I've ever been in, the first one my Mum's seen me in.''

'And then went to a different shop, went back, tried more on, and then put that one on again. I was like, ''No, it's got to be that one.''

Unlike many Love Island couples, Molly and Tom's relationship has gone the distance, the couple credited 'good communication' as the secret to making things work outside the villa.

Tom said: 'We just have the same interests, we have the same goals, we just... I don't know, we just click.

'We have the same banter, we make each other laugh.'

With the countdown to their main wedding well and truly on, the pair said they are still planning their big honeymoon, but are planning to spend a few extra days in Mallorca after they're married, before heading off for a minimoon together.

Molly added: 'We are doing a few extra days in Mallorca just so that we're not flying home straight away. We kind of want to just soak it in a little bit, don't we?

'And then we are attempting a mini moon, but we haven't booked anything yet, so I don't know when we're going to go.'

Earlier this week, they arrived in Palma, Mallorca, for their second wedding.

As they touched down at the airport, Molly showed off her toned abs in a white crop top which she teamed with comfortable tracksuit bottoms.

She accessorised with dark shades and wore her long blonde tresses in loose waves over her shoulders.

Tom, meanwhile, dressed down in a white T-shirt and grey shorts and carried a Louis Vuitton bag in his hand.

The couple have even taken off their wedding rings ahead of their second nuptials.

'Even though we're legally married, we've taken the bands off so we can have that special moment again where we can put them back on,' Tom told PEOPLE.

'I don't think it will feel like we're actually married until we have the main wedding.'
