MAFS' Bec Zacharia reveals vile 'hate' messages from men 'who want to sleep with her'

Married At First Sight bride Bec Zacharia has revealed the vile messages she receives from online trolls — including one man who sent her nothing but a rat emoji - and she has a very blunt theory about the people behind them.

The reality TV star, who earlier this year flew to Bali to undergo controversial 'Barbie waist' surgery, told Daily Mail she is regularly bombarded with messages attacking everything from her appearance and weight to what she eats.

But rather than letting the criticism get under her skin, Bec insists she now simply laughs it off. 

'Every single day I have people comment and message telling me I am disgusting and ugly. That I shouldn't be eating certain foods, or my mouth is disgusting... That I will never make it in the social media world. I laugh at them!' Bec began.

And the 36-year-old reality star didn't hold back when explaining exactly what she thinks is driving the abuse. 

'The people who message me hate are either men who want to sleep with me or people who are projecting their insecurities on me,' Bec sniped. 

'I got a message from a guy, it was just a rat emoji. He is saying I look like one! It is a reflection of their own self-hate, so it doesn't bother me at all! 

'In my opinion, anyone who takes the time to message hate to a stranger on social media is projecting! There is nothing I could have done that could have annoyed them so much that they would send me that message!

'They are the unhappy ones because I am not doing anything other than living my own exciting life. It says more about them than it does about me.'

Bec revealed she has faced particularly fierce scrutiny over her appearance since undergoing the procedure, with critics repeatedly telling her she looked better before going under the knife. 

'I get that every day, people trying to bring me down, telling me I am a piece of s**t... I get a lot of people messaging saying I am ugly now,' she said.

But the former MAFS bride insists the constant commentary has done little to derail her - especially as she continues to build the very social media career critics once told her she would never have.

Yet even her food choices have become fair game for strangers online, with one particularly bizarre confrontation sparked by something as innocent as a doughnut. 

The reality star recently shared a photo of a sprinkled doughnut her grandmother had brought over - only for one woman to accuse her of making a mockery of her own health journey. 

'Yesterday I posted a story of a sprinkled doughnut my dear, darling grandmother had brought over with a coffee to share with her,' Bec shared on social media.

'I received a DM from a lady after posting that, and she essentially said, "your health journey is bollocks".'

Bec said the woman accused her of contradicting her own weight-loss claims simply because she had been seen eating dessert.

'I have lost 30 kilos now! Am I doing the wrong thing by being realistic about what I am doing? She was saying, "I see you shovelling down dessert in your car and eating a doughnut! It is not adding up",' Bec said.

Despite the constant commentary, Bec insists she refuses to let strangers dictate how she looks, eats or lives her life.

For all the noise surrounding her transformation, Bec insists she has never been more comfortable in her own skin - and has no intention of letting strangers online change that.

'I absolutely have zero regrets! I am so confident when I get dressed!' she said.

And as for the trolls? Bec appears to have made up her mind - they can say whatever they like, because she isn't listening.
