Mayan stones are one of many collectibles in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, but the stones are particularly useful as they can be used to obtain the Mayan Armor. With 16 Mayan stelae ruins in the game, and thus 16 Mayan stone locations, finding them all isn't easy, but that bullet-deflecting fit will make it worth your while.

Here's how to solve the Mayan stela puzzles and where to find every Mayan stone in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

[Ed. note: This guide is a work in progress. We will update this guide with every Mayan stone location shortly.]

How to collect Mayan stones in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is packed with Mayan stelae, old Mayan ruins that contain hidden Mayan stones. If you open the map and hover over a discovered location, you can check whether it lists any Mayan stelae puzzles. If so, you can travel to that location and solve the puzzles to get the stones. Once you've unlocked at least one viewpoint, you'll see the Mayan stone location markers on your map when you zoom in.

To solve a Mayan stela puzzle, climb on top of the highest pillar and use the interaction button. See the highlighted ruins and the white figure on the ground? Move and rotate the figure until it matches the ruins — each piece of the ruin must be positioned within one of the circles. The picture below shows a new Mayan stela puzzle on the left and its solution on the right. Don't forget to pick up the Mayan stone once you've solved a puzzle!

Mayan stone puzzles are part of the "Mayan Mysteries" quest, which automatically starts in Tulum after you've finished the main quest called "Overrun and Outnumbered." Once you've collected a total of 16 Mayan stones, return to Tulum to claim the Mayan Outfit (see the "Mayan Mysteries" quest marker).

You will obtain the first Mayan stone during the quest called "This Old Cove," but you must find the remaining 15 Mayan stone locations by yourself.

1

Cape Bonavista

(159, 584)

In the southeast, below the monkey icon on your map. Beware that you can't collect this Mayan stone during the game's prologue yet (come back once you've got the Mayan stones quest). Starting from any viewpoint, travel further inland until you reach the settlement, then climb the higher ledge with the two deceased pirates at coordinates 162, 586. Enter the cave behind them to find the Mayan stone location.

2

Matanzas

(311, 619)

In the southeast corner of the island, next to the waterfall.

3

Cat Island

(703, 669)

In the northwest corner, overlooking the beach.

4

Tortuga

(845, 352)

5

New Bone

This Mayan stone puzzle is about halfway up the large temple in the north. If you arrive from the northeast, you can climb the wall from the northeast beach. The pillar, which is placed in front of a staircase, blends well with the rest of the Mayan temple, so take care not to miss it.

7

Misteriosa

(265, 171)

On the southwest beach. Beware of the soldier guarding this location.

8

Santanillas

(187, 221)

This Mayan stela puzzle is on the north side of the island, behind the large rock formation.

9

Pinos Isle

(303, 452)

Go to the large, open area below the viewpoint. The Mayan stela puzzle is on the south side.

10

Pinos Isle

(311, 454)

It's on the northeast wall, overlooking the beach.

11

Sacrifice Island

Starting from the viewpoint, take the path to the south. On your right, toward the west, you'll see a large staircase with the Mayan stone puzzle at the top.
