Netflix viewers go after Raygun's husband calling him as equally 'delusional' as her and blame him for her embarrassing Paris Olympics performance: 'It is all his fault'

Furious Netflix viewers have slammed Rachael 'Raygun' Gunn's husband Samuel Free, blaming him for her embarrassing Paris Olympics performance and calling him 'delusional' for thinking it was great. 

Gunn, who became a global headline after her now-infamous six-minute breaking routine at the Games, is the subject of a new Netflix documentary Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly. 

In the documentary, Free, who is a professional breakdancer and worked as one of her coaches, gushes about the star quality he saw in his wife's performance.

'I was struck by the beauty of her performance. At one point, she does a beautiful spin and grabs her cap. I was like, "That is really nice",' Free said.

'It was the essence of creativity.' 

However, others were not so impressed as her Australian-themed breakdance scored her zero points and saw her become a global meme. 

Netflix viewers went online to slam Free, labelling him 'delusional' for proudly speaking of his wife's 'cringe-worthy' performance.

'I hope I find someone who loves me as delusionally as Raygun's husband loves her,' one viewer quipped. 

'I literally blame him for everything,' another sniped. 

'This guy is a Chris Lilley character,' another added, referring to the comedian's 2005 mockumentary series We Can Be Heroes, which follows Australian of the Year nominees.

'I thought this was a parody! Thought he was taking the p**s,' someone else wrote, and another chipped in with: 'This doc really seems like the most unintentionally brilliant piece of comedy made in ages.'

Gunn was transformed from a relative unknown into an international punchline after her three Olympic battles went viral.

During her routine, she hopped like a kangaroo and yawned at an opponent.

She was ruthlessly mocked for her 'embarrassing' performance which saw her score three straight zeros on the sport's Olympic debut.

Later on, she and her husband were subsequently targeted by conspiracy theories and accusations that they had somehow cheated their way into the Games - claims that were particularly damaging given Free was also her coach. 

The documentary delves into Gunn's relationship with Free, whom she met while working at a call centre in 2008 and who would eventually become her husband.

He was one of the people standing beside her as the internet turned against them. 

Gunn's fellow B-girls also address the cheating allegations in the documentary, rejecting the claims that the couple somehow manipulated their way into the Olympic competition.
