Nikki Glaser reveals item she was 'really close to stealing' at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding
Nikki Glaser revealed she was one of the lucky 1,000 to receive an invite to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and her only regret was that she didn't bring home a souvenir.
The 42-year-old comedian joked that she came 'really close to stealing' one item during her Friday night residency at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, per Us Weekly.
It was a single cake-topper that appeared to be a likeness of Kelce and would have fit inside her purse if a voice that sounded like Tom Cruise's hadn't told her not to.
'I got really close to stealing something from it because I was, like, 'I want one cool artifact from this,'' Glaser described. 'It was late in the night. Everyone's kind of drunk, dancing on the dance floor. And I'm back by the cake, vaping. I look up at the cake and on the top tier, where the two little cake toppers are, it's just Travis.
'I reach up, I get it. I'm two seconds from putting it in my purse. It's almost in there, and then I hear Tom Cruise be like, 'Put me down!'' she wisecracked, referring to the Top Gun actor's reported five-foot-seven height. 'I'm, like, 'Oh my, God!''
Swift and Kelce, both 36, exchanged vows on July 3 in an extravagant star-studded ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler with guests including Selena Gomez, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Miranda Lambert, Hugh Grant, Steven Spielberg, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, Cruise and Adam Scott, who revealed what surprised him about the couple's nuptials.

Glaser began her comedy act by describing how she came to be invited to the biggest event of the year, even though she wasn't a close personal friend of either Swift or Kelce.
'I want to say that I went to a wedding at Madison Square Garden three months ago,' Glaser told the audience. 'I just want to talk about it a little bit. Allegedly — I actually can't say that I was there legally or else a sniper dot will appear on my forehead.'
The comedy star, in fact, became a mega-fan after first meeting Swift backstage during the Red Tour in 2012, later remarking to E! News how 'nice and personable' the singer was after such a massive show.
'I am a huge Swiftie, probably the biggest Swiftie that was at that event,' Glaser continued on Friday night. 'If you're a Swiftie, you'll understand, I got the text inviting me to the wedding. I never thought in a million years I'd get invited. I don't even know them, but I got invited, and I'm shaking as I'm opening [the message]. I'm like, 'Oh my God, I want to tell everyone that I know.''
Glaser received her invite by text like everyone else and followed the instructions to a tee. And like everyone else, Glaser signed a nondisclosure agreement to maintain strict privacy around the ceremony.
'I didn't tell anyone, obviously, I was too scared to,' she admitted.
'So, I go to the wedding. I am in there for 12 hours, and none of my family or friends know where I am. I'm off the grid for 12 hours,' Glaser said. 'They're texting me, my location's off. They all thought I killed myself because I wasn't invited. I was actually inside, and I had nothing to show for it because I had to turn in my phone.'
A mandatory cell phone check had been set up at the entrance.

Glaser went on: 'I go in, and I have no pictures. It sucks so much because it was the best night of my life as a Swiftie, like, the coolest thing I've ever seen. The purest love I've ever witnessed, and I have no pictures [and] no evidence.'

'J.Lo was alone,' the stand-up comic recalled. 'I kind of know J.Lo, so I was like, 'Hey!' And she was like, 'Oh my God, Nikki,' and she threw her coat at me.
'I was just kind of carrying her things around,' she said, adding that they hit up the restroom together. 'We were, like, pals all night.'
