Nintendo announced Monday that a new Nintendo Direct showcase is coming this week. The next Nintendo Direct will be dedicated to the company's upcoming Splatoon spinoff, the single-player survival adventure Splatoon Raiders, offering a deep dive into the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
Nintendo's Splatoon Raiders Direct will stream live on June 30, starting at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT, and will last roughly 15 minutes, according to Nintendo. Expect new gameplay details and plenty of sea-life wordplay.
But that's not all: Nintendo is also planning an extended look at Splatoon Raiders gameplay with a new Nintendo Treehouse: Live broadcast.
Splatoon Raiders was announced last June, shortly after Nintendo launched the Switch 2. In the follow-up to Splatoon 3, players will go treasure hunting across the Spirhalite Islands while battling Salmonids, the aggressive sea creatures players face in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3's Salmon Run modes. Players take on the role of a mechanic working for the Deep Cut trio (Frye, Shiver, and Big Man) building wild creations and a variety of gadgets and paint-throwing devices.
Splatoon Raiders will be released on July 23, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. The same day, Nintendo will release a trio of new amiibo figures: Splatoon Raiders versions of Frye, Shiver, and Big Man. (That trio was immortalized in amiibo form back in 2023 for the release of Splatoon 3.) Nintendo will also release new Joy-Con 2 controllers in a blue and light yellow colorway.
Splatoon Raiders costs $49.99 for the game's digital version, and $59.99 for the physical version, as part of Nintendo's new pricing plan. Each Splatoon Raiders amiibo costs $24.99.
