Robert Irwin Reveals If He Wants to Be Next Bachelor Star

Robert Irwin is two-stepping around sharing details about his love life.

The Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro host remained tight-lipped when he was recently asked whether or not there's someone special in his life right now.

"Yeah, well, I keep that pretty private," Irwin told The Daily Mail in an interview published Aug. 13. "Everything with my personal life."

The 22-year-old's comments come after he spoke out about the rumors that he could be in the next lead of The Bachelor, noting that "anything could happen."

"Never say never,” he told Entertainment Tonight of the speculation back in February. “I'm in this realm right now where I'm like, ‘never say never.’"

However, Irwin doubted that his love life would make for interesting television.

"I'm an animal conservationist,” he said. “That's my thing. My world is very different from most of the things that are reported on about me."

"My life is a lot more boring than you might think,” Irwin continued. “It’s exciting when it comes to animals. I mean, I’m jumping on crocs and I’m catching snakes and I’m rescuing koalas. But when it comes to that side of it, I’m pretty vanilla.”

The DWTS winner had also previously discussed how difficult he has found dating while navigating the public eye.

“Holy moly, that’s so challenging to navigate,” he told The New York Times in November, adding that, when it comes to romance, “anything you do will be on TikTok the next day.”

Indeed, Irwin has had to navigate his own share of speculation about his love life, like when he sparked romance rumors when he performed an intimate dance with fellow DWTS winner Xochitl Gomez—who nabbed the trophy during season 32 of the ABC competition series—for the show's 20th anniversary celebration episode last fall.

"We had the best time," Irwin said of the rumors to TMZ at the time, playing it coy. "That dance was so much fun."
