Samsung's rolling 4K monitor is nearly 30% off - and it doubles as a TV

Samsung's Movingstyle Essential Smart Monitor has dropped to $500 at Amazon ahead of Prime Day, saving shoppers $200 off the regular $700 price.
Samsung's Movingstyle is a unique monitor. The screen sits on top of a wheeled stand, allowing you to easily roll it from room to room. At more than 55 pounds, the setup is a little heavy, but that is by design. Samsung concentrated much of the weight in the base to help keep the screen perfectly stable as you move it around your house, office, or wherever you have it. On the bottom are urethane wheels for quiet, smooth movement.

A 13-foot power cable runs through the stand for a cleaner overall setup and easier mobility. The display itself connects to an adjustable hinge that supports full 90-degree rotation, side-to-side swiveling, and tilt adjustments, allowing you to position the screen however you like. You can even detach the panel entirely and use it like a large tablet.
As for the screen itself, it is a 32-inch 4K display with a high contrast ratio of 3,000:1 for deep blacks and sharp image detail. The result is a vibrant, crisp picture that looks great for streaming, casual gaming, and everyday use. Samsung even includes its AI Picture Optimizer software to automatically enhance visual outputs and improve color accuracy.
Complementing the screen is a built-in speaker system powered by Active Voice Amplifier, an AI-driven feature that analyzes surrounding noise levels and automatically boosts dialogue volume when needed.

Because it runs on Samsung's Tizen operating system, the Movingstyle Essential monitor can double as a smart TV. Owners have access to a litany of popular streaming services, from Netflix to Disney+ and even Spotify. On top of that, you gain access to Samsung TV Plus, which provides hundreds of free, ad-supported channels.
It can even function as a decent gaming monitor. Once again, thanks to Tizen, the display supports Samsung's Gaming Hub, which offers access to Xbox Game Pass. There's no need for a console or PC. The refresh rate is 120Hz, which ensures smooth on-screen animations. Other notable features include 3D Map View for smart home management, Workspace, which houses multiple productivity apps, and Multi Control. That last one lets you transfer files to and from other Samsung devices.
How I rated this deal
As per ZDNET's rating system, I grant this deal a 3 out of 5. At $500, a lifestyle display like this is a strong deal, especially when you consider how much functionality Samsung packed into the Movingstyle Essential. You're getting a 4K smart monitor on a rolling stand with built-in streaming apps, support for work-related software, and access to cloud gaming, all in one package. It's hard to beat that.
Amazon Prime Day 2026 officially runs from Tuesday, June 23, through Friday, June 26. However, you don't need to wait for the event to start saving. That's because early deals are already appearing, as Samsung is rolling out discounts well ahead of the main sale. In fact, some of the strongest price cuts typically show up in the weeks leading up to Prime Day, so expect to see a lot more in the coming weeks.
