Shane Warne's son Jackson shares heartbreaking FaceTime video his dad sent before his death as the children of the late cricket legend celebrate what would have been his 57th birthday

Jackson Warne has shared a touching video sent to him by his father, Shane Warne, before the cricketer's untimely death. 

Celebrating what would have been Shane's 57th birthday on Sunday, the 27-year-old posted an unseen FaceTime clip that showed his dad going about his day. 

In the moving video, Shane, who at the time was in chilly Scotland for the Alfred Dunhill golf championship, told his son how much he misses him and counted down the days until he was reunited with his beloved children. 

'This is me rugged up. I've got a beanie. I've got about four different layers on. I've got a little snood that keeps my neck and that warm,' Shane explained in the clip, while discussing the cold temperature he was enduring in the region. 

'I've got a vest, a jumper, and a thermal underneath there as well, to stay warm, because as I said it's four degrees,' Shane continued. 

The athlete, who took up golfing after retiring from cricket, then said he was 'bloody nervous' about the Dunhill golf tournament but was excited to see his kids again. 

'I'm back on the 14th. I think I got six sleeps until I see you guys. Yay!' Shane said. 

'I hope you had a good day and I'm missing and loving you lots. Let's do this,' he signed off. 

Jackson captioned the video: 'Missing these updates, happy birthday Dad.'  

Shane's daughter Brooke Warne replied in the comments section: 'These updates were the best, miss them so much.'

Brooke also made a tribute to her father on what would have been his birthday, likewise posting unseen imagery. 

The 29-year-old shared a childhood photo on her Instagram Story, in which she could be seen posing alongside her dad as a tot. 

'Today will always be your day. Happy birthday dada,' she captioned the image. 

In July, Brooke said that she believes her late father was with her in spirit when she got engaged to her long-term boyfriend Alex Heath, for a heartwarming reason.

Brooke shared a clip of her engagement, with the rainbow visible in the background, and captioned it with some sweet words.

'When your angels show you their love for your engagement, the only way they know how. The sky looks different when you have angels up there,' Brooke began.

'Forever with you Alex, and our angels forever with us.' 

Shane passed away on March 4, 2022. 

The legendary Australian leg-spinner died from a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand, at the age of 52.
