Star Wars Outlaws may be the most recently released video game set in the Star Wars universe, but there is no denying that the past decade has belonged to the Star Wars Jedi franchise. Currently consisting of two installments, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third and final entry is currently in development, bringing an end to the epic adventures of Jedi Cal Kestis as he goes head-to-head with the Galactic Empire.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was launched back in 2023 by Respawn Entertainment with the events taking place five years after the first game. With Cal Kestis at the helm again, the story follows him as he races against a corrupted High Republic Jedi in order to reach a planet that could serve as a safe haven for those affected by the tyrannical Empire.

With many fans considering Jedi: Survivor to be even better than Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the game was praised for its characters, combat, level design, and music. So much so, that here at Screen Rant, we awarded Star Wars Jedi: Survivor with an impressive 9/10 in our review.

Those who enjoyed Fallen Order will likely be enamored by Survivor. It takes the often rough foundation delineated by its predecessor, smooths some of the rougher edges, and builds it into a much more expansive experience that tells a more complex tale. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a shining example of how a rather insular story can still explore multiple eras of the Star Wars timeline without becoming convoluted, while simultaneously coexisting with the wider, legendary setting under the Galactic Empire.

That is because the hit Star Wars game is now available courtesy of EA Play via Xbox and via PlayStation. If you were not aware, EA Play is a monthly or annual video game subscription service by, you guessed it, Electronic Arts. Subscribing will give gamers access to "unlimited access to a library of older games, 10-hour trials for new game releases, in-game rewards, and a 10% discount on digital purchases of EA games and add-ons."

Put simply, if you currently have an EA Play account, you will now be able to play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for free and skip out on paying its full £70 price tag. You will obviously have to have an active EA Play account, but it definitely works out cheaper in the long-run.
