Stranger Things Officially Returns This Halloween

After running for almost a decade and remaining one of Netflix's top-rated shows of all time, Stranger Things finally came to an end back in December 2025. However, with the season finale leaving a lot to be desired, many were left disappointed with how the Netflix show by the Duffer Brothers ended with our very own Kara Hedash admitting that it "missed the mark" in her review.

That being said, although the Stranger Things show has now come to an end, the IP has most certainly not, with multiple new projects crawling out of the woodwork over the past few months. This includes everything from an arcade game to spin-off animated show, Tales From '85. There have also been Dungeons & Dragon's-inspired kits to get stuck into, and even Stranger Things: The First Shadow, the theater show that headed to both Broadway and the West End.

However, that is not all as later this year, just in time for Halloween, another Stranger Things project will see fans be able to return to the Upside Down once more.

Announced by Universal Studios itself, this year's Halloween Horror Nights event at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will be hosting its very last Stranger Things event inspired by the show's finale. Although this is not the first Stranger Things event to take place at these locations, it will be the last time to experience it, and there is no doubt that it will go out with a bang.

"Developed in partnership with Netflix, this year’s Stranger Things haunted house will showcase the most gripping moments from the final season in an authentic, visceral experience that places guests at the center of the ultimate battle to save Hawkins. Fans will confront the terror they’ve seen on screen as they navigate iconic locations and encounter favorite characters—all while evading a host of horrifying supernatural creatures…including Vecna himself.

"The harrowing adventure will immediately transport guests to the town of Hawkins, as the barrier between reality and the supernatural is collapsing to unleash an ominous darkness. As visitors make their way through familiar scenes, including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, the MAC-Z military base, as well as the haunting realms of the Upside Down and the Abyss, they’ll be hunted at every turn by Demogorgons and other sinister creatures. With Vecna on their heels, the terror intensifies, pulling guests into an all-or-nothing battle for survival."

Allowing customers to explore some of the most iconic locations from the final season of Stranger Things, there will also be brand-new merchandise to get collecting, ranging from T-shirts to mugs and everything in between.

The Stranger Things Halloween Horror Nights event will take place from 28 August at Universal Orlando Resort and on 3 September at Universal Studios Hollywood, giving you plenty of time to book your tickets and get your creep on way before the Halloween season begins in earnest.
