Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce get cheeky jibe from NBA icon after they SNUBBED him from wedding but invited his pal Charles Barkley

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's over-the-top Madison Square Garden (MSG) wedding was full of surprising A-listers, but some notable stars were left out.

Among those excluded was NBA icon Shaquille O'Neal, 54, who has since responded to the snub.

'Thanks, Taylor. Thanks, Travis,' he facetiously said to People magazine on Friday at the Fanatics Fest at Javits Center, after revealing he did not make the cut on their starry guest list.

Asked if he had any well wishes for the newlyweds, he dryly added, 'May it last forever.'

While O'Neal was not one of the 1,000 attendees at the exclusive ceremony, his friend Charles Barkley, 63, declined his invite. 

It comes over two years after O'Neal gushed that he 'finally' met Swift at the 2024 Super Bowl in February.

At the time, he took to social media to share a photo with the pop star and Authentic Brands Group CEO Jamie Salter.

'Finally met @taylorswift,' the post was captioned. 'me and @jamiejsalter gifted her a NFL Judith Lieber bag.' 

Swift's close pals, including Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid were among the attendees at her wedding, as well as most of Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates. 

Other random A, B and C-listers were spotted arriving to MSG on July 3, with social media users snarking that the wedding seemed more like a social networking event than a celebration of love. 

Among the surprising invitees were actor Hugh Grant, 65, and screenwriter Jenny Han, 45. 

'She literally invited everyone and their mother omg,' one X user said of Swift.

Another said the Love Story singer appeared to have invited 'anybody and everybody.' A third described the guest list as 'unhinged.'

Celebrities took to Instagram to flex their invites as they showed off their outfits, using the wedding as a status symbol.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement news in a joint Instagram post shared in August last year.

The caption of the iconic post, which has over 37 million likes, read: 'Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.'

The bride and groom's lavish ceremony reportedly cost $50 million to execute.

Attendees were treated to a raffle, which resulted in some guests leaving with Cartier watches and Chanel handbags.   

And on their wedding night, the bride and groom reportedly ordered more than 100 pizzas from one of New York City's Mama's TOO restaurants.
