The Block's cast feud deepens as contestants reveal one team has QUIT the group chat: 'MOST of the houses are friendly'

The Block's seemingly friendly cast façade has begun to crack, with two contestants revealing that one team had permanently removed themselves from the group chat.

The shock admission came just days after Chantel and Wyatt were conspicuously absent from Nine's 2027 Upfront in Sydney, as the remaining contestants posed together on the photo wall.

Adam and Jolene, Lisa and Rosco, Courtney and Sev, and Rick and Tayla all attended the event alongside The Block hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft and judge Shaynna Blaze.

But fitness-loving couple Chantel and Wyatt were nowhere to be seen.

Fellow Blockheads Rosco and Lisa offered a shock assessment about the state of the group, admitting not everyone was on good terms with their co-stars.

'Four out of five houses are talking. Well, four out of five houses are talking in the group chat,' Rosco told Pedestrian.TV. 

Rosco's wife Lisa then jumped in with a pointed remark.

'Most of the houses are friendly,' she said. 

Rosco added that the unscripted nature of the popular reality TV show had led to some heated clashes.

'Nothing's scripted. You get backed into a corner, and sometimes the only way out is to fight your way out of that, and that can come across in all different sorts of ways,' he said.

It follows reports that The Block will take on its biggest renovation challenge yet in 2027, as five new teams tackle a stunning 170-year-old heritage site.

Australia's biggest renovation show is set to embark on its most ambitious project yet, with teams taking on three grand heritage buildings at Jacksons Hill in Sunbury, Victoria.

Channel Nine acquired the historic buildings from the Victorian Government, paving the way for a new chapter for the landmark Sunbury site. 

The buildings date back to Victoria's gold rush era, when the site was originally constructed as an industrial school.

It later became a psychiatric hospital before most recently serving as a university campus.

Now, the historic buildings are set for a dramatic transformation as the teams attempt to preserve their heritage character while giving them The Block's trademark high-end makeover.

Located just 40 minutes north-west of Melbourne's CBD, Sunbury offers a distinctly Victorian mix of town and country, with rolling hills, vineyards and a rich history.

The area has a country-town feel despite technically being an outer suburb of Melbourne, and is incredibly popular with people looking to live in a quiet area while still being close to the big city. 

Returning to host the mammoth renovation will be Block favourites, Scott Cam and Shelley Craft.
