This Morning gardener Daisy Payne confirms she has given birth to her first child as she reveals baby girl's musical-inspired name

This Morning star Daisy Payne has welcomed her first child.

The ITV daytime show's resident gardener, 28, and her producer partner Dominic Gatt announced the happy news on Instagram on Sunday.

Revealing they were the proud parents of a baby girl born on September 1, Daisy shared black and white photos of her daughter and revealed her musician-inspired name. 

'Meet Joni Augusta Gatt, born 1st September We are so in love!'

The post was flooded with congratulatory messages from Daisy's 23.5k followers   

Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page wrote: 'Congratulations!!! What a beautiful name!!' whilst Influencer Jemma Solomon gushed: 'Ahhh huge congratulations,'

Daisy announced she was pregnant in April, sharing a short Instagram clip cradling her growing bump 

The ITV star joked 'it's been a different kind of growing for me this year' as she posed in her idyllic garden. 

Daisy was snapped up by This Morning in 2020, a year after she bought a Grade II-listed cottage in the Cotswolds and created Garden to Garnish tutorials for her YouTube channel.

In May 2023, Daisy opened up about how gardening helped her navigate the grief of her grandad, who died from COVID-19, and her grandmother.

She recalled to HELLO! magazine: 'When my mum phoned me to tell me he had tested positive, I was walking Ernie, my cocker spaniel.

'I fell to my knees. We knew the inevitable would happen, and there was absolutely nothing we could do about it.'

'The lack of control and the utter devastation was hideous, so I turned to the garden to find solace.

'The day he died, a little bird flew into my garden (we had never had robins in the garden before), and I knew he was out there with me.

'In an instant, the garden felt even more special than it had before. Gardening helped me manage grief - and I choose the word 'manage' purposefully.'
