Womaniser Lachie Neale's tense chat with girlfriend Emma Field after fresh texts emerge linking him to Melbourne socialite

Lachie Neale may have had some explaining to do as he stepped out for a brunch date with his new girlfriend Emma Field in Brisbane on Saturday.

The new couple were seen at the Make My Day café, a stone's throw away from the Gabba, as the former Lions star was weathering fresh claims about his womanising.

Lachie and Emma's romance became public knowledge last week when they were spotted together at Brisbane Airport, with some noting that Emma bears a striking resemblance to Tess Crosley, the woman at the centre of his marriage split from ex-wife Jules Neale just seven months ago.

But their coffee catch-up may well have been anything but romantic, coming on the same day reports surfaced about his allegedly prolific dating life since Jules dumped him and moved back to Perth with their children.

It all began on Friday when the Daily Mail revealed that a PGA golfer had claimed on social media that Lachie was sliding into his sister's DMs as recently as two weeks ago. (The sister in question happens to be a dead ringer for Jules.)

Since then, fresh claims emerged overnight in the Herald Sun that the former Brisbane skipper had also been trying to woo Melbourne society girl Mim Hoyle.

Despite unflattering reports in the Melbourne press, Lachie appeared carefree as he stepped out with Emma on Saturday, though she looked noticeably unimpressed at one stage

He appears to have been messaging Mim around the same time he was courting 29-year-old Emma, with leaked messages he allegedly sent to her also coming to light.

The alleged texts suggested he may have had something serious in mind.

'Best way to put it is that I can tell already that I don't want to catch up with you just once or twice and I don't want you to think that's what I would be like with you,' Lachie is said to have texted Mim.

A former AFL WAG who claims to be close to Mim - who coincidentally is another Jules lookalike - slammed Lachie for trying to court her friend.

'All is always forgiven in the bro world of football,' they told the Herald Sun. '[Women] just become collateral damage and his messiness impacts them.'

When the Mail reached out to Lachie's manager, Tom Petroro, regarding the report about Lachie and Mim, he said his client would not be commenting on the matter.

The Gold Coast brunette flaunted her figure on their brunch date in a matching purple activewear set, letting her long brown locks cascade down her back.

Ladies' man Lachie gave a photographer a thumbs-up

Ladies' man Lachie kept things casual in a baggy white T-shirt and brown slacks, which he teamed with dark shades and a red cap.

The pair had a cheeky peek at the photographer who captured them out and about, with Lachie giving them a thumbs-up and a smile.

The sighting came just days after the Daily Mail broke the news that despite shacking up with a new squeeze, Lachie had allegedly slid into the DMs of a woman who was a dead ringer for his ex-wife.

Early reports of his romantic fling with Emma had prompted an unexpected intervention from PGA golfer Jack Wright, who took to Instagram with a curious claim.

'Only a week or two ago, he was trying to slide into my sister's DMs again after being denied the first time,' Jack wrote.

The golfer has since wound back his claim in a bizarre interview with the Mail, saying the comment was penned by a friend who had accessed his account.

'I was on the beers with my mates and my mates commented that,' he said of the comment, adding that they had accessed his profile through his iPad.

He then denied Lachie had ever messaged one of his sisters, but bizarrely took a spray at the footy star anyway, saying: 'He's a scumbag.'

Requests for comment about Jack's claim went unanswered by Lachie's manager - a man who surely has one of the toughest jobs in football right now.

Emma, who is believed to work in advertising on the Gold Coast after previously living in Melbourne, isn't a fully-fledged influencer, though she has built a sizeable Instagram following thanks to a steady stream of bikini snaps, gym selfies and carefully curated lifestyle content.

Lachie appears to be among her biggest fans, having liked a string of her racier posts. The couple, of course, also follow each other on social media.

Before swapping make-up brushes for beach clubs, Emma ran a mobile beauty business with her sister Jamie in their hometown of Wangaratta in regional Victoria, where her relationship with Lachie is said to be the talk of the town.

Interestingly, Lachie isn't the only one to have taken notice of Emma.

Reality TV producers have also had her on their radar, with multiple sources telling the Daily Mail she has long attracted interest from Married At First Sight casting staff.

'Every casting producer follows her [on Instagram],' one insider said.

'They were obviously keen to get her on a show like MAFS, but I'm not sure if it ever went beyond sliding into her DMs.'

The Mail understands that Lachie's ex-wife Jules is aware of his new relationship and is entirely unfazed, focusing instead on the next chapter of her life in Perth.

When a friend broached the topic last week, Jules is said to have responded with words to the effect of, 'Good luck to her,' before declining to elaborate further.
