Lioness is, of course, more similar to Sicario, given they share a writer. Like Sheridan's first feature film, Lioness is an extraordinarily tense and action-packed military thriller. The show never shies away from the morally gray aspects of the United States' less-than-legal foreign policy decisions, and it never lets up for even a second. Lioness is a wild ride from start to finish, and it's arguably a better sequel to Sicario than its actual sequel, Day of the Soldado.

Lioness has pretty much every ingredient necessary to make a hit show. From Taylor Sheridan's expert writing to an all-star cast that features Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, and more to a huge production budget that puts viewers right in the thick of its military action, the show's a hit.
