Apple Martin, 22, is a dead ringer for Gwyneth Paltrow as she makes her film debut alongside Owen Wilson - 25 years after he starred with her mother in The Royal Tenenbaums

Apple Martin looked like Gwyneth Paltrow's doppelganger as she was seen for the first time on the set of her new movie.

The aspiring actress, 22, is set to make her acting debut in romcom Paris Paramount, with a yet to be announced role.

On Thursday, she was seen filming in Los Angeles alongside Owen Wilson, who famously starred alongside Gwyneth 25 years ago in The Royal Tenenbaums.

Yet you'd have a hard time differentiating snaps of Apple this week and Gwyneth in Wes Anderson's 2001 black comedy.

The nepo baby was the spitting image of her mum as she wore her blonde locks pulled back in a ponytail and sported a peach cardigan and jeans

Clearly in her element as a third-generation actress in her family dynasty, which includes grandmother Blythe Danner, Apple was seen beaming and laughing with the crew on set.

Apple Martin looked like her mother Gwyneth Paltrow's (right, in 2001)  doppelganger as she was seen for the first time on the set of her new movie, which also stars Owen Wilson

Gwyneth previously worked with Owen in Wes Anderson's 2001 black comedy The Royal Tenenbaums where they played the characters Margot Tenenbaum and Eli Cash

Owen was no doubt reminiscing about his filming experience with Gwyneth as he worked alongside her nepo baby daughter in the upcoming Nancy Meyer's project

As per IMDB, Paris Paramount tells the story of a young filmmaker who falls for a producer.

After making several hits together, they break up and must reunite to work on a high-profile project featuring volatile stars.

The film is being directed by Nancy Meyers, who's behind hits such as The Parent Trap, What Women Want and Something's Gotta Give.

Nancy confirmed the project's title on Instagram in 2023, penning: 'There’s been a lot written about my new film. Here’s one thing I can easily clear up - and that’s the title - Paris Paramount.

'It’s from a quote by the brilliant and elegant comedy director (dare I say creator of the romantic comedy) Ernst Lubitsch.

'The movie is about a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do. As always, Lubitsch said it best.'

Nancy also shared a quote from the German director, which read: 'I’ve been to Paris, France, and I’ve been to Paris, Paramount, and frankly, I prefer Paris, Paramount.'

Paris Paramount also stars Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Erin Doherty, Jude Law, Tony Hale and Beverly D'Angelo.

Apple - whose father is Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - was previously slated to appear in Nancy's 2015 film The Intern but this didn't seem to come to fruition.

She had begun to make a name for herself in the modelling world, working for brands like Gap and Chloé and also had a short-lived singing career.

Yet earlier this year she confirmed her focus was now on acting and made a cameo in HBO show, Rooster.

Apple, who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in law, history and society, told Vogue in February that she now wants to follow in her mother's footsteps after getting out of her 'rebellious 'I don't wanna be like my parents' type of phase.'

She explained: 'I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying.'

Apple had previously expressed an interest in singing like her Coldplay frontman father Chris Martin, but said that 'getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying'

During her time at Vanderbilt, Apple took on the role of directing a student play after sharing her profound love of the theatre

The London-born beauty is a third-generation actress as her dynasty also includes grandmother Blythe Danner, who memorably starred in the Meet the Parents films

Apple previously told Interview magazine how she loves theater 'more than anything'.

'I would love to do theater because I adore it so much,' she said. 'I’ve obviously never done film before, but I’ve been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theater kid.'

During her time at Vanderbilt she also took on the role of directing a student play.

Apple shared stage snaps as she gushed over the 'best weekend, best people, best org, best memories' before her college added the caption: 'Miss Director couldn't have said it better.'

Apple previously made headlines after it was claimed that she had been expelled from school for bullying - allegations she later denied.

Addressing the claims on Instagram, she said: 'Hi! I didn't wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand. I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone.

'I completely understand ppl not liking me and that is okay! The internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions. [sic]

'But this rumor is completely untrue, I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that.'

In 2024, Apple faced bullying accusations after a video showed her seemingly attempting to crash a fellow debutante's photo shoot and roll her eyes at her date at the Le Bal des Debutantes in Paris.

Afterwards, a source close to Gwyneth told DailyMail.com that her daughter is a 'girls' girl' not a 'mean girl'.

'Apple's more playful and fun and she's really a total girls' girl,' the source said.

'She would never mean to take the spotlight from anyone, that was not her intention. To characterise her as a mean girl is very untrue.

'She really had such a wonderful evening and I feel bad that this is even taking away from that because it was such an uplifting evening for her and the other girls.'
