Not only is it your sole means of traveling across the increasingly deadly oceans, but you'll also get to face off against challenges that offer some of the best rewards that Black Flag Resynced has to offer.

Unfortunately, you won't just be able to grind out the materials and money needed to finish off your ship upgrades, as the last tier for nearly every aspect of your ship is locked behind a specific Ultimate Plan blueprint, which you can find in the following locations.

12 Where To Find The Round Shot Strength Ultimate Plan

Given that the standard Round and Heated Shot are some of the most common and impactful weapons you'll be using during naval combat in Black Flag Resynced, you'll be happy to hear that it doesn't require much effort to acquire. Simply going to the Kabah Ruins Diving Bell at (738, 120), you'll have to make your way through the cave towards the north side of the diving area, and you'll be able to find a chest with the plan inside.

Once you've obtained the plan, you'll need to let out a hefty 35,000 Reales in order to purchase, after which your damage will be increased to a total of 160% from the baseline. Thankfully, this and the rest of the ship upgrades practically pay for themselves, given that naval combat is one of the best ways to make money in Black Flag Resynced.

11 Where To Find The Heavy Shot Strength Ultimate Plan

Offering a shorter range but more powerful broadside cannon alternative, the Heavy Shot Strength Ultimate Plan will require you to go on a treasure hunt, starting with finding the map at Ambergris Key (28, 160) in Southern Chinchorro. After you've obtained the map, you'll need to head over to Misteriosa (271, 178) in Central Serranilla to dig up the treasure and your newest blueprint.

Costing a lesser 25,000 Reales, collecting this Ultimate Plan will increase your Heavy Shot to a total of 120% damage.

10 Where To Find The Fire Barrel Strength Ultimate Plan

If you want to enhance your Barrel Launchers to the final stage, you'll need to once again go on a treasure hunt starting at Santanilas (191, 218) in Chinchorro to acquire your map. Following the trail all the way to San Juan Smuggler's Cove (455, 462) in Cruz, you'll be able to dig up next to a crashed car and some bones at the above coordinates.

Being your sole means of attacking while on the run and interrupting enemy charges, the Barrel Launcher Ultimate Plan, the 8,000 Reales required to purchase the upgrade, is a small price to pay for the 200% damage increase.

9 Where To Find The Mortar Strength Ultimate Plan

Moving back to more underwater treasure hunting for the final Mortar upgrade, you'll have to head over to the Antocha Wreck Diving Bell (601, 633) in upper Gibara and start your descent into the sea. Once you've made your way down, the crashed ship at the most southern part of the area will let you acquire the Ultimate Plan you need.

Being your only long-range attack and the best way to start naval engagements, the Mortar upgrade 3 is probably one of the best blueprints to get early on, but you'll have to save a bit to afford its 650 Metal and 25,000 Reales cost to increase its damage to a whopping 300%.

8 Where To Find The Swivel Guns Strength Ultimate Plan

Diving into the depths once more, around the middle of the map at the Devil's Eye Cavern Diving Bell (453, 331) towards the bottom of Cruz is where you need to head to acquire the Swivel Gun Strength upgrade. After making your way down, you'll need to continue moving north and follow the tunnels until you enter a large walkable cave section, which will have the blueprint found in a chest towards the left side of the room.

After spending 400 Metal and 15,000 Reales, you'll be able to increase the damage of your Swivel Guns to 150%, which doesn't seem like much, but certainly adds up given how many times you can attack with them during fort sieges and battles with larger ships.

7 Where To Find The Broadside Cannons Number Ultimate Plan

Moving north from the previous blueprint location, you can find The Blue Hole Diving Bell (440, 145) in lower Charlotte to find the chest you need for the Broadside Cannon upgrade. Yet again, heading towards the northern end of the diving area, you'll find a destroyed ship on the bottom of the sea floor that holds a sunken chest with the plan inside.

Costing 650 Metal and 20,000 Reales to purchase, it's one of the more expensive upgrades, but also one of the most visually impactful, as it increases your cannon capacity to 18 in a single volley.

6 Where To Find The Ram Ultimate Plan

If you want to be able to take out ships without firing a single shot of a cannon, you'll need to head down to the La Concepción Wreck Diving Bell (150, 271) in Chinchorro. Not far from where you first dive, there will be a chest inside a broken ship piece north of the Diving Bell itself that contains the Ram Ultimate Plan blueprint.

Costing a hefty 200 Metal, 600 Wood, and 15,000 Reales, the final Ram upgrade doesn't come cheap, but will increase its damage output to a total of 4,000 per hit. Given that ramming is one of the fastest ways to take down smaller ships and can be essential in getting in some massive damage early on, it's another upgrade that is well worth the investment for the long-term in Black Flag Resynced.

5 Where To Find The Hull Armor Ultimate Plan

Being the most essential upgrades to even survive naval combat on greater difficulties, you can find the final Hull Armor upgrade by visiting the San Ignacio Wreck Diving Bell (348, 745) in Dry Tortuga. This is also notably the first Diving Bell you'll encounter as a story requirement during the mission Diving for Medicine, meaning you might already have gotten the plan from a chest just to the left of the diving bell within another sunken ship chest.

Being one of the most expensive ship upgrades in Black Flag Resynced​​​​​​, you'll need to spend 400 Metal, 750 Wood, and 30,000 Reales to claim it for yourself, after which you'll get access to 5,000 points of armor to defend against enemy attacks, which also offers a total of four healable health bars outside of combat.

4 Where To Find The Heavy Shot Storage Ultimate Plan

These next two treasure maps are ones you can do back-to-back fairly easily to save time, as you'll need to start in Cayman Sound (289, 311) in the south area of Castillo de Jagua, once again collected from a skeletal corpse. After you've acquired the map, head over to the Petite Caverne Smuggler's Cove (863, 235) in the south area of Punta Guarico to dig up your treasure and, once again, your invaluable Ultimate Plan blueprint.

Costing 4,000 Reales, this upgrade will increase your Heavy Shot ammo capacity to 40 volleys, allowing you to engage in much longer combat outings before restocking. Before leaving the island, however, you'll want to stick around to grab another treasure map for your Fire Barrel Storage.

3 Where To Find The Fire Barrel Storage Ultimate Plan

Collected from Petite Caverne (863, 235) from the previous treasure hunt, you'll then need to make your way to Tulum (40, 372) in the southern area of Conttoyor and follow the map's coordinates in order to find the treasure, which can be found at (40, 372) on a lone island next to two Palm trees and a piece of ship debris.

Similar to the previous Ultimate Plan in more ways than one, this upgrade will similarly cost you another 4,000 Reales, after which your Fire Barrel capacity will increase to 40.
