Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

First released back in 2013 as the sixth major installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is widely regarded as one of the best. Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, the story follows pirate Edward Kenway who finds himself embroiled in the ongoing Assassin-Templar war across the West Indies. As he searches for a mystical location reportedly full to the brim with treasures, he soon discovers that the Templars are also on the hunt.

Praised for its characters, story, world-building, combat, and open-world setting, it was no surprise that Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was revealed to be welcoming an official remake courtesy of Ubisoft. Announced earlier this year, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced launched earlier this week on 9 July.

Featuring overhauled next-gen graphics, six hours of new story content, including a chapter dedicated to the iconic Blackbeard, and supposed open-world sailing with no loading screens, it seems as though Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced is already shaping up to be an award-winning remake.

However, if you want even more of the cheeky pirate Edward Kenway, you can continue the story of Assassin's Creed with Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple. Once an official webcomic series, the Forgotten Temple series is now available to purchase as physical books with its fourth entry, Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Vol. 4, now available to pre-order ahead of its 24 September launch.

The story, which takes place in 1725, follows the story of Edward Kenway as he searches for pieces of Eden scattered across Southeast Asia. The story is intermingled with modern-day times as we also hear about the exploits of Edward's descendant, Noa Kim, who finds himself kidnapped by Abstergo and forced to relive the Assassin's memories.

The synopsis for Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Vol. 4 reads as follows:

"Edward Kenway, the infamous pirate and Assassin, must complete one last swashbuckling mission! Shifting allegiances, new allies, deadly battles with the scheming Templars, and all-new enemies are going to put all of Kenway’s skills to the test in Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple!

Exploring Kenway’s memories is having a strange effect on Kim. He’s suddenly capable of things he could never do before, like fearlessly leaping off a roof and landing on both feet, or fighting three men all alone and coming out unscathed. Could his ancestor’s memories be changing Kim for the worse?"

Showing what Edward got up to following the events of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, this story collection is perfect for those who want to hear about more adventures undertaken by our favorite Welsh pirate. With the fourth entry of Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple launching in just two months, it is almost time to continue the epic story.
