As part of a Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 weekly quest, you need to use the lighthouse beam to reveal a hidden rare chest and search it.

Using the lighthouse's beam to find rare chests may be a challenge in itself, but you'll find that opening the chests might be even more difficult. As you approach a chest, it can poof out of thin air. However, there's a surefire way to open the chests before they disappear.

Here's how to complete the "Use the lighthouse beam to reveal a hidden rare chest and search it" quest in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3.

First things first, you need to get to the lighthouse. It's located to the west of all the buildings in Calamari Canyon, but if you're dropping here, make sure to land at the top of the lighthouse to save time. Then, interact with the light at the top to ignite it and turn on the beam.

Now, the lighthouse beam will circle around the area, so walk outside, but don't jump off just yet. Look down at the ground, and follow the beam's path. The beam will reveal hidden rare chests when its light touches them. Revealed chests will have a purple light above them, and they'll stay revealed for a short period of time. If they disappear, wait for the beam to come back around and reveal them again.

Once you open a hidden rare chest, you'll complete the weekly quest and earn 12,000 XP.
