KC Osborne has finally lifted the lid on her secret Hollywood fling with One Direction heart-throb Niall Horan, revealing for the first time how a chance dinner led to a string of clandestine dates.

The former Married At First Sight bride, 36, first revealed in 2020 that she had previously dated the Irish pop superstar after eagle-eyed fans noticed he was following her on Instagram.

But until now, KC has kept the details of their unlikely romance firmly under wraps.

Speaking exclusively on Daily Mail's The Debrief with Savanna Young podcast, the reality star has finally revealed how the pair met, and the surprising phone call from Niall that caught her completely off guard.

KC, who was living in Los Angeles at the time and had several brushes with A-list fame during her Hollywood years, said the encounter happened in the early 2010s when One Direction's manager invited her to dinner at West Hollywood celebrity haunt Sunset Marquis.

It was there that she walked in to discover Niall waiting for her.

'I went in and Niall was sitting there and I just played it cool, even though I loved 1D,' she recalled.

'We had a dinner. Got along really well. He was super sweet.

'Then when I was leaving, he was like, "Can I have your number?" And I wanted to just play it cool. I was like, "Oh, yeah, you can just get it off [your manager]."'

Despite deliberately playing hard to get, KC admitted she never expected to hear from the boyband superstar again.

'I kept thinking, "Whatever, he's not gonna message or call me." And then the next day, or it was that night, I had this UK number FaceTiming me, and I'm like, "Surely not, surely not."

'And I answer it and it was him!'

The pair subsequently began seeing each other, with KC revealing they managed to keep their dates completely under the radar despite Niall being one of the world's most famous young pop stars at the time.

'I kept that s**t so private. No one knew,' she said.

However, their secret romance proved short-lived, with KC admitting the spark simply wasn't strong enough to turn the fling into anything serious.

'We went on like two or three dates and then it just wasn't there,' she said.

'As if anything's going to really happen anyway. He's touring. He's got the whole world at his feet. It ain't gonna be me. But I had fun.

'It was just a friendly, fun thing.'

And Niall wasn't KC's only brush with the One Direction phenomenon during her years in Hollywood.

The former reality star revealed she continued to cross paths with other members of the chart-topping boyband and even found herself inside a recording studio with the late Liam Payne, singing on one of his unreleased tracks.

KC said the extraordinary encounter happened while One Direction were still together, although she claimed tensions surrounding the band's future were already apparent.

'One night, we ended up at the studio. This was when they were still together… but you could tell they were going to break up,' she recalled.

'Liam was like, "I'm in the studio because I want a female vocalist to come in and get on my track and do some harmonies."'

KC protested that she was 'not a good singer', but said Liam quickly assured her it didn't matter.

She ultimately stepped inside the booth and recorded harmonies for the track, which was never released.

'It was a cool experience,' she said.

'I just remember thinking, "I can't believe a girl from the Sutherland Shire is in the booth with someone from One Direction singing."'

It was one of several brushes with celebrities KC experienced during her time in Los Angeles, where she also dined with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
