NCIS: New York’s Shane Harper Shares Rare Glimpse Into Samantha Boscarino Marriage

Shane Harper doesn't need luck when his wife is by his side.

Nearly a year after the NCIS: New York star's rep confirmed he and Samantha Boscarino—who met in 2010 while co-starring on Good Luck Charlie—had tied the knot, he shared rare insight into their married life.

"Being married is really fun when it's the right person," Harper told E! News in an exclusive interview. "When you're with someone that's really supportive and you love each other and support each other through the ups and downs in life, you get a partner to go through really hard things and really, really good things and everything in between that."

As he put it, "When it works, it just works."

Although the 34-year-old has been busy taking on the Big Apple as Special Agent Wyatt Sellers in the latest NCIS spinoff, he's always prioritized time with Boscarino in his off-hours for dinner, Broadway shows and more.

"My wife and I are very used to the schedule of this business. It's finding times specifically on the weekends," he explained. "You have to make time for it. Otherwise, you're just going to be working and never talk to anyone."

Spending months at a time in a major city isn't new for Harper, who relocated to Chicago while starring as drug lord Vic Flynn in Power Book IV: Force for three seasons. Having Boscarino with him while she played his love interest Rae Thompson made the stay even easier.

"That was cool because we got to go to work together a lot of days, which was so much fun," he recalled. "That made the Chicago run a lot more fun in that way because we got to hang out on set together and work together."

"We love transplanting into new cities and learning what that city has to offer," he continued. "I feel like if I'm in one place for too long, I get a little like antsy. I like the moving around. We both do, which we're just lucky that way. We're on the same page, and I think that's really helpful."

While Boscarino, 31, stole Harper's heart in the Starz series, don't expect the same go-around in NCIS: New York, which also stars LL Cool J, Scott Caan and Jennifer Beals. However, the couple does have some ideas for a potential cameo.

"She's done with me," he playfully added. "She doesn't want to play my love interest on TV anymore. Honestly, it would be fun. I would love it if she could be on the show. We were thinking if there was a role that was more adversarial or something to Wyatt."

"It would be more fun, at this point," he continued, "because we've already done the other thing and that might be an interesting idea. There are a lot of episodes, so you never know."

Harper's character, a hopeless romantic from Alaska, has room to grow as he continues to reel from his breakup with his ex-fiancée.

"What's interesting about Wyatt is he's not New York," he shared. "He doesn't have that New York swag. He doesn't have that street-smart New York thing going on that's very quintessentially New York."

"He doesn't know what he's doing," he said. "He doesn't know how to ride the subway. He's looking out [to avoid] getting hit by a bicycle or something."

Now working under Nick Schaeffer (Caan) and Sam Hanna (LL) in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service's New York office to solve crimes and kick ass, Harper is ready to see Wyatt transform.

"I am really interested in exploring his relationship issues with his ex-fiancée, and figuring out why that fell apart," the A Teacher alum said. "I'm really curious if he'll get more New York the further down the line, or if he'll stay the same."

He also hopes to explore Wyatt's relationship with his partner Agent Addy Ross (Jacqueline Byers).

"I'm curious to see where their relationship develops because I don't know yet," Harper added. "Is it going to be platonic? Is it going to maybe become romantic? It's a built-in will they, won't they for the future. So, I'm very curious to see how that comes together."

While fans tune in to CBS every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET for NCIS: New York, keep reading for more TV shows to add to your queue.
