Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Combining the maritime adventures of Sea of Thieves with the undead horror of The Last of Us, this upcoming action-adventure title is guaranteed to test your mettle as you do whatever it takes to survive a zombie outbreak in the San Juan islands of Washington State.

After finding yourself stranded on a boat, you must get to land and find supplies if you wish to survive. However, when the land is overrun by man-eating zombies, will you have what it takes to survive on the open-world archipelago, especially one where the people are just as deadly as the undead?

That is the question you will have to face in Last Harbor, an upcoming survival action-adventure game from tinyBuild, the creators of the Hello Neighbor franchise. Announced at the recent Summer Game Fest, Last Harbor does not yet have a release date, but it is definitely one to keep an eye on if you love the zombie and survival genre, but also want to embark on an open-world adventure with an engaging story.

Humanity has fallen. The undead roam the land and the few remaining survivors have taken to the sea in search of refuge. To survive, they must maintain and upgrade their boats, venturing back to the land they once called home in search of resources, loot and sustenance. But every expedition could be their last and it’s not just the zombies that are out for blood…

In Last Harbor, your boat is your lifeline as well as your home. Not only will it see you able to traverse the sprawling archipelago, but it will also be your fortress against the horrors that lurk beyond. However, if you wish for it to withstand any threats, you will have to head to land and scavenge for supplies. Although that is easier said than done. Resources will help upgrade and fortify your boat, allowing you to improve your crafting capabilities, house fellow survivors, and most importantly, stay on the move.

Last Harbor is inspired by the real life event of "spending the lockdown of 2020 on a boat stuck in the beautiful San Juan Islands of Washington state," the game synopsis over on Steam reads. "Fishing, exploration, the feeling of dread while surrounded by beauty, and walking around quaint, seemingly abandoned town centers while trying to avoid other people."

"We aspire to replicate this feeling of isolation as you navigate the abandoned remains of a cluster of islands off the US coast, teeming with the undead. Familiar weapons, zombie survival mechanics, crafting, basebuilding and exploration, set against a unique backdrop where your “base” is mobile and essential for survival and exploration."

As mentioned, Last Harbor has not yet received a release date, but it is available to add to your wishlist on Steam right now.
