The original Incredible Hulk and King of Queens favorite Lou Ferrigno looks incredibly youthful at 74
Lou Ferrigno had fans doing a double take at Niagara Falls Comic Con on Friday, looking remarkably youthful at the age of 74.
The legendary actor, best known for playing the green-skinned superhero in The Incredible Hulk TV series from 1977 to 1982, wowed fans with his impressive physique and signature Hollywood glow decades after first rising to fame.
After the series ended following five seasons, during which he starred alongside Bill Bixby as Dr. Bruce Banner, Ferrigno reprised the role in TV movies throughout the late 1980s.
The bodybuilder also made cameo appearances as a security guard in the 2003 film Hulk, starring Eric Bana, and the 2008 The Incredible Hulk movie with Edward Norton, in which he also lent his voice to the Hulk.
Later, Ferrigno won a new generation of fans on the hit sitcom King of Queens, where he played a humorous version of himself.
At the comic convention in Ontario, Ferrigno showed that the years in the spotlight have clearly treated him well, flashing his trademark megawatt smile, striking classic Hulk poses, and looking healthier than ever.

Last month, Ferrigno opened up about his iconic role, now brought to life on screen by Mark Ruffalo in the Avengers films.
Reflecting on how he landed the part, he revealed that Richard Kiel was initially considered for the role before producers realized they needed someone with a more muscular build.
'It was 1977. They were filming the Incredible Hulk pilot. Richard Kiel was supposed to play the Hulk, but the director came on the set one day and said it’s not the Hulk,' he told Free Press Houston.
'Richard Kiel was tall, but he wasn’t muscular enough,' Ferrigno said of the actor known as Jaws in the Bond franchise.
'The Hulk was supposed to be muscular. They did a nationwide casting call and found me. I did a screen test to show emotion and the rest is history,' he said.
Ferrigno also explained how deeply he connected with the character, describing the Hulk as a figure of inner strength shaped by personal struggle.
'It’s about power. Every one of us has a little Hulk inside. I was introverted as a child, picked on and beat up. I was frustrated because I was weak and couldn’t fight back. I thought if I were powerful like the Hulk I could defend myself. The Hulk is not just a monster, he’s sensitive and I identified with that,' he shared.
The bodybuilder added that his performance came naturally, saying he never needed extensive preparation because he was already a fan of the character.

Looking ahead, Ferrigno revealed he has continued to stay active in Hollywood, recently wrapping work on Scorpion King 4, which is set for release in November 2026
Ferrigno also weighed in on the evolution of the role in modern superhero films, noting that while CGI has taken over, he still enjoys being part of the franchise in a different way.
'I know that CGI is expected in today’s movies, but the CGI Hulk can’t sign autographs. I feel great about voicing the Hulk,' he said.

He is also set to appear in the Warner Bros. comedy Moms’ Night Out.
