Westcott has announced the Photography Wagon, a collapsible cart for photographers that features a patent-pending boom pole mounting system that allows it to both haul gear and act as a rolling light stand or tripod.

“The new collapsible wagon lets photographers haul their equipment in one trip and mount a light, reflector, backdrop, or other compatible gear directly from the wagon,” Westcott says.

A Westcott octagonal softbox on a light stand is mounted inside a collapsible utility wagon containing camera bags on a grassy lawn near a river.

The Photography Wagon is designed to haul a full photography setup in one trip while also providing a place for photographers to mount a light along with a modifier, reflector, collapsible backdrop, or other compatible gear. When fully deployed, the cart measures 37 inches (94 centimeters) long, by 19.25 inches (48.9 centimeters) tall, by 19.25 inches (48.9 centimeters) wide, including the wheels. The actual storage space measures 35 inches (88.9 centimeters) long, by 19.25 inches (48.9 centimeters) wide, by 10 inches (25.4 centimeters) tall.

It packs down 29 inches (73.7 centimeters) tall, by 19.2 inches (48.8 centimeters) wide, by 8.5 inches (21.6 centimeters) deep.

The cart weighs 24 pounds (10 kg) and is rated to hold up to 175 pounds of gear. Westcott included a folding tailgate to allow for larger items to be accommodated and built-in additional storage via multiple pockets along the sides.

A pole with a light and modifier attached can get as low to the ground as three feet, six inches (107 centimeters) or as high as seven feet, eight inches (230 centimeters) securely, and is easily removed for handheld use thanks to the padded grip. A reversible 1/4″-20 to 3/8″-16 spigot provides what Westcott describes as “broad compatibility” with photo and video equipment, while an integrated 90-degree receiver allows for horizontal mounting. An anti-rotation bracket helps keep mounted equipment secure during use.

“Whether shooting weddings, portraits, sports, commercial productions, or other on-location work, the Photography Wagon combines gear transport with the versatility of a mobile light stand, helping photographers simplify setup and spend more time behind the camera,” Westcott says. “The spacious cargo area holds lights, cameras, stands, modifiers, and accessories, while the folding tailgate expands capacity for oversized gear. Exterior pockets keep batteries, triggers, and essentials organized and within easy reach.”

The Westcott Photography Wagon is available for pre-order starting today for $189.90. The company says it expects to start shipping the wagon by early September.
