All amiibo unlocks and rewards in Star Fox

Unlock some exclusive customization options for multiplayer mode
Image: Velan Studios/NintendoStar Fox's amiibo support is slightly more limited compared to Nintendo's other recent first-party games, though you can still get a handful of rewards for scanning select figures. These have no bearing on gameplay, though. They don't unlock special items, more lives, or anything like that, so don't feel like you're missing out if you don't own or buy one of the Star Fox-series amiibo.
Below, we list all the Star Fox amiibo unlocks and rewards and how to get them.
Star Fox amiibo rewards and unlock list
Image: Velan Studios/Nintendo via PolygonEach of the three Star Fox amiibo grants you a unique set of unlocks in the game. Unlike with Metroid Prime 4, there aren't any new amiibo specific to Star Fox on Switch 2. It's just the three from the 2010s Smash Bros. collection.
The unlocks are also purely cosmetic: banners and icons to use in multiplayer mode.
The three Star Fox amiibo are:
- Fox McCloud
- Wolf O'Donnell
- Falco Lombardi
Scanning each gets you a battle background, which is Star Fox-speak for the banners on your multiplayer profile. You also get a selection of emblems, the little circular sticker-like things that also go on your profile.
- The Fox amiibo gets you: a banner featuring Fox running through a Cornerian Arwing hangar.
- The Wolf amiibo gets you: a banner featuring Wolf in his Wolfen cockpit, set against a violent orange background.
- The Falco amiibo gets you: a banner featuring Falco lounging in the Great Fox.
How to use amiibo in Star Fox
Image: Velan Studios/Nintendo via PolygonNavigate to the top of the main menu, where you'll see a small square with the amiibo symbol on it. Select that square, then scan your amiibo over the right Joy-Con to activate your rewards, which will be automatically available in the customization menu.
