Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

With fourteen mainline entries under its belt, the Assassin's Creed franchise is one of the longest-running gaming series of all time. As such, every fan has their favorite and one entry that sits at the top of the charts is 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins.

Taking place in Ancient Egypt during the reign of Cleopatra, Assassin's Creed Origins follows the story of Bayek of Siwa, a Medjay who teams up with his wife, Aya, in order to seek revenge for the murder of their son. However, what makes this installment all the more intriguing, is that it shines a light on the origins of the Assassin's Brotherhood which is founded by Bayek and Aya throughout the course of the game.

Praised for its story, characters, voice acting, world design, and major improvements on previous installments, Assassin's Creed Origins is still remembered fondly, and with the tenth major installment in the Ubisoft franchise expected to celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, we can only hope that some exciting announcements will follow suit.

Whilst an official remaster of Assassin's Creed Origins has not yet been hinted at by Ubisoft, we do have the next best thing courtesy of Digital Dreams over on YouTube. Thanks to pushing all settings to their limits, as well as adding expert ray tracing, we can now see what the beloved game looks like at 8K fidelity.

In the video shared to Digital Dreams' YouTube page, we can see ten-minutes of footage from Assassin's Creed Origins, but it is clear to see that a simple graphics boost brings the 2017 title into modern-day. From shifting, golden sands swirling at Bayek's feet to the calming waters of the Nile glistening in the sun, the results are stunning, and it seems as though fans agree.

"It is crazy how good this game looks in the sunsets," the top comment reads. Another said, "That's DEFINITELY NOT a 2020's game, that's why its level of excellence is beyond all limits."

On top of that, Digital Dreams offers ReShade presets on their Patreon page, and so, if you too, want your games to look as colorful as this, make sure to show your support. In the meantime, you can check out exactly what Assassin's Creed Origins would look like if it was released today. Not only that, but it gives us an idea of how stunning the next Assassin's Creed entry could look and, if the reports are true, this will be none other than Assassin's Creed Hexe.
