Astrologer Aliza Kelly Reveals How the Lunar Eclipse Affects Your Sign

Astrologer Aliza Kelly Reveals Her 2026 Predictions for Each Zodiac Sign

'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood. Us, to the moon at the moment.

Because from the evening of Aug. 27 until the next day's early hours, we're going to experience the dark side of the moon due to a partial lunar eclipse. Allow astrologer Aliza Kelly to, uh, shed some light on the situation.

"Unlike a solar eclipse, where the moon passes over the sun," the AstroloTea with Aliza Kelly podcaster explained in an exclusive interview with E! News, "what happens during a lunar eclipse is that the moon, instead of reflecting the light of the sun, reflects the shadow of the Earth called the umbra. So, it changes the color of the moon from our classic silvery, beautiful hue to this dark red umber tone."

But it's not just the moon that experiences a vibe shift.

"The moon represents our emotional inner world," Kelly detailed. So, when it experiences some ch-ch-changes, "the way that we feel about something, our internal experience goes through a transformation, because we see something differently than we have ever seen it before."

But just because the moon is entering its spooky era doesn't necessarily mean we got problems.

While, yes, you may experience some really deep cuts, Kelly swears these kinda wounds won't last and last.

"Eclipses are very powerful karmic turning points of the year, where we really are face-to-face with our fate, and we have to find ourselves on the path we're supposed to be on," shared The Constellation Club founder. Admittedly, "for some of us that could mean that we are dragged onto the path."

The way she sees it, "eclipses open new doors by slamming others shut, which also means that eclipses can bring changes into our life that we wouldn't have necessarily selected for ourselves. But through time, we understand that, oh, I really did need to leave that job or that relationship or that friendship in order for these opportunities to come through."

Need proof the abundance is coming? Take a look what you've done the past two years.

This eclipse cycle started back on Sept. 18, 2024, said Kelly, with others in the series taking place in March and September of last year, plus this past March. And the finale is set for Feb. 20, 2027.

"This is a great opportunity to think about like what was going on in your life in September 2024," shared Kelly, set to embark on her Haunted Tea Party: Spooky Season Astrology Tour Oct. 6. "How has your life changed and evolved? In what ways do you feel like you have been dragged and pulled and guided to these greater stories of purpose and destiny?"

As for what she sees in the stars, well, strap in.

With Uranus, the planet of unexpected surprises, involved in this eclipse, "When we talk about Uranus, we say expect the unexpected," said Kelly, "and when we talk about eclipses, we say expect the unexpected."

So, get ready for a one-two punch that could have you seeing stars. Shared Kelly, "This is an eclipse where we truly can be flipped on our head."

Don't flip out just yet, though. "Find that surrender," she advised, "and find the trust to recognize that things can happen that we don't know why they're significant. But we have to trust that through time, we'll get that information."

And it's not as if she's fully leaving you in the dark. Allow her to illuminate what lies ahead.

Aries

Aries signs should expect to, uh, ram up against the realities of day-to-day life. "This is really a story around how we are spending our time," astrologer Aliza Kelly explained to E! News, with an enhanced focus on responsibilities, routines and both mental and spiritual health.

Among the themes she expects to surface for Rams: "Are we getting enough sleep? Are we feeling inspired and proud of ourselves? Are we feeling insecure?" she posited. Expect to spend time thinking about "how our world is a reflection of our mental health, but also how our mental and spiritual health informs the things that we do and the way that we engage."

Taurus

Time to get bullish about your innermost desires. "For Taurus, we're thinking about what inspires us creatively and also how we feel like we can belong," shared Kelly. It's time to ask if what inspires you is "so that we can find belonging and fit in," she continued, or is it a "genuine expression of our interests, passions and who we are?"

As the Aug. 27 lunar eclipse gets under way, Taureans should expect to feel a push-pull of "participating in something, but also stepping up as innovators and people who are leading new conversations." Advised Kelly, don't be afraid to risk "feeling different for having a different point of view on something."

Gemini

Twin signs may be due for a trip down memory lane. Geminis should expect "themes that really have to do with where we come from, our origin story, what our roots are, our family, our foundations," shared Kelly. "And then what our aspirations are, what we're trying to build and create for ourselves."

By looking back, you can learn how your past "informs our motivation into the future," she added, "and then also what we're doing to reset some of the things that we may not have received when we were younger."

Cancer

Prepare to sidle up to the ones you love, crabs. For Cancer signs, this eclipse "has to do with the ways in which we connect to our community and our friends and siblings," said Kelly, "and then also what we want to learn and how we want to explore new territory."

It could be quite the illuminating time for anyone feeling a bit stuck. "We might feel like we're a little held back right now and that we're a little trapped," noted Kelly. "So, there might be some interest in changing things up, exploring new places in the world, new ways of being or new belief systems. But we feel obligated to our immediate environments. So we're straddling those two spaces."

Leo

Leos should expect to paw through their financial reality a bit. For lions, this eclipse "has to do with our resources, our money, what we feel we have access to and what is available in the bank," said Kelly, "and then also the emotional consequences of those."

Expect to examine "what is our true financial reality versus are we in a space where we feel abundant," added Kelly. "Or, are old habits informing what we feel we can or can't do, regardless of what is actually going on in our true financial reality right now."

Virgo

For their birthday season, Virgos could be gifted the chance to do some intense internal work. "This is a very personal eclipse because it has to do with how Virgo relates and associates with the most important partnerships in their life," noted Kelly. "So, this is about understanding self by way of contracts, by way of marriages, business partners."

Basically, if we are the company we keep, take a look around, she suggested, and recognize "that your identity and reality are being crafted by who you are involved with."

Libra

Time for Libras to start weighing their options. For them, this stretch "has to do with the way that we are feeling about the world," noted Kelly, and "the stories that we tell ourselves over and over and over again about what's possible, what we have time for, what we don't have time for and then seeing how those patterns of thought show up in our reality."

And once that stock has been taken, she added, it's about "giving ourselves permission to interrupt and change those patterns if we want to change our reality."

Scorpio

Retract those stingers. For Scorpios, the eclipse could involve embracing a bit of the softer side. "We're thinking about how we can find new communities, new audiences, even new followers," said Kelly, "that understand and get us."

Sure, Scorps can be a bit of a mystery at times, but at their core, they just want to be understood. The goal, continued Kelly, is to find the people and villages "where we don't feel like we need to constantly be chasing the validation and recognition from them because we feel like we are just accepted and can be ourselves in those types of situations."

Sagittarius

Go ahead, set your aim at some big goals, archers. It's time to take stock of your aspirations, instructed Kelly, and consider "are we still pouring into our foundation?"

With each big dream, she added, ponder "how can we still feel connected to where we come from, connected to our core and who we are, so that we are not abandoning ourselves as we are also aspiring to create new pathways in our life that bring us forward."

By all means, shoot your shot, but "you can't ever run from who you are," she reasoned. "And if we're chasing these impossible goals and highs, it still is important to understand the methodology and the reasoning behind it, so that we know that we're not doing things from a place of feeling we're compensating. Because, ultimately, we're never going to feel fully fulfilled within those pursuits if that's the case."

Capricorn

School is officially back in session for Capricorns. "This is really about getting out of town, finding new ways of making friends, finding new places to explore, giving yourself permission to break open your status quo and learn new things," said Kelly, "become a beginner again."

While ambitious goats often feel they've got it all worked out, Kelly advised trying to "humble yourself to be back to square one so that you can learn about life and yourself in ways that you haven't explored selfhood before."

The worry is that Capricorns could be getting a bit set in old narratives, she added. So, consider hanging out with a new crew, testing a new coffee shop or finally booking that vacation with yourself. Even if you're not one for solo adventures, said Kelly, it could be time to "expand your horizons and learn something new."

Aquarius

It's the age for Aquarians to think about "what the emotional cost around our values is," said Kelly. "Do we feel worthy of being able to receive new opportunities in our life. Do we feel worthy of being able to ask for more money? Do we feel worthy of being able to negotiate? Do we feel worthy of being entitled to the same opportunities that our peers are receiving?"

If the answer to any of those is a firm no, take a step back to "think about where those concepts of self, value and the consequences of resources come from," she said. And then give yourself "permission to rewrite those as needed" to avoid holding yourself back "financially or even just in relationship to prosperity because you don't feel entitled to it."

Pisces

If you've just been following the current with your business and personal relationships, it's time to dive deeper. Check in, said Kelly, to determine if any of those bonds "have been limiting you from being able to tap into different parts of yourself."

And should you identify an alliance that's been holding you back from being your full self, she continued, consider "stepping away from some of those relationships and giving yourself permission to learn about who you are again, independently." Doing so will allow you to get to know yourself better, added Kelly, "and understand what your priorities, values and passions are."
