WARNING: this article contains major spoilers for Big Brother 28, including the identity of a mystery houseguest!

Big Brother 28 has finally commenced, with the houseguests entering into a summer-long power struggle alongside some reality TV veterans, all who were weighing the burden of becoming the house's first HOH. After a long hiatus, Big Brother is finally back and bringing a group of houseguests to play for a $750,000 grand prize. Host Julie Chen Moonves is returning to host the series for its historic 28th season, which will see the series hit its 1,000th episode over the course of the summer. On top of making history, Big Brother's pulling out all the stops for the season.

With 14 new houseguests moving into the house, including one iconic RuPaul's Drag Race star, and three CBS reality TV veterans, the series is mixing things up with a group of newbies and a few veterans. The group of new houseguests, who range from a jumbotron technician to a rocket scientist, moved into the Big Brother house understanding that there would likely be a few more houseguests thrown into the mix. After some exciting safety competitions, the houseguests were floored when three legendary reality TV houseguests were announced to be joining the game, and one would become the first HOH.

In a shocking twist, Big Brother 26's Angela Murray and Survivor legend Rick Devens were brought into the game, and though a fakeout made it seem like Big Brother 13 winner Rachel Reilly would return, the third reality TV legend hasn't been revealed. Thankfully, an inside source has revealed the 17th Big Brother 28 houseguest, as well as the HOH competition results. As the game moves forward, BB fans should prepare to see a bit more of Survivor infused into the game as another player who's dominated CBS' other reality competition is joining the house after an iconic premiere episode.

Survivor Winner Dee Valladares Is The Week One Head Of Household

According to spoiler account Hamsterwatch on X, Survivor winner Dee Valladares is going to be joining the game in a surprising twist, bringing a second Survivor alum into the BB house this season. Dee, who won Survivor 45 and went on to compete on Survivor 50 alongside Devens, hasn't entered the game on screen yet, but is set to be revealed during Friday's episode of Big Brother: Unlocked. It's been revealed that after competing with Devens and Angela for the Head Of Household title, that Dee will be the one with the power in the first week of competition.

While having power is definitely an advantage for Dee, it may also put an even bigger on her target than there already was. Being a reality TV winner and someone who has recently competed on Survivor and The Challenge, it's clear that Dee is coming into the game with a massive target, and will be someone that needs to use her social abilities to move through the game if she wants to make it far. A strong competitor, Dee is known for her cutthroat gameplay and her ability to align with strong, physical players, using them to her advantage.

As Big Brother 28 unfolds and there are more twists revealed, it will quickly become clear whether Dee is able to move through the game with any real sort of ease. Going into her first set of three nominations, Dee isn't likely to have it easy, especially with some strong men having won safety in the first set of BB competitions. Dee won't be able to nominate Rome, Yash, or Jason for eviction, and it's likely she won't go for her fellow reality TV alums, either. Dee's first act as HOH may be tougher than the expected Big Brother nominations.
