Bloodborne Is Officially Back with a New Release — but There's a Catch

Despite being a PlayStation 4 exclusive released more than 11 years ago, Bloodborne still maintains an impassioned fanbase. All those good hunters are hungry for a sequel, or even just a remastered PS5 version at this point. Instead, they have had to dine on comics, soundtrack represses, and other "not quite what I was looking for" releases instead.

The latest? A goddamn umbrella.

Nerd fashion company Super Groopies is partnering once again with Bloodborne publisher Sony on a new collection of merchandise, headlined by a $125.99 umbrella. Yes, $125.99.

The Childhood's Beginning Model Umbrella is inspired by the Bloodborne ending where your character is reborn as a lil' baby squid Great One, which is printed on the wrap that ties the umbrella together. The outside is decorated with a hodgepodge of Caryll Runes, while the floating Moon Presence can be found in the umbrella's interior. Again, this is a $125.99 umbrella.

Also in the new collection is the $125.99 Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower Model Necktie and Tie Clip Set, inspired by Lady Maria's costume. Your ass might still remember Lady Maria from how much she kicked it in The Old Hunters expansion. I know mine does.

A $135.99 Hunter Model Card Holder embossed with countless Caryll Runes, a $95.99 Vileblood Register Model Book Cover, and a $155.99 Hunter Model Laptop Sleeve fill out the rest of the collection. That last one is supposed to reference the hunter's iconic hat, but really just looks like any black leather laptop sleeve.

The items are estimated to ship in mid-April 2027. Pre-orders are now open until Oct. 12 at 11 p.m. EST. If you're interested in any of the items — like, say, that squid-covered $125.99 umbrella — you may want to pre-order sooner rather than later as, in my experience, Super Groopies merchandise isn't likely to come back in stock. I still regret not pulling the trigger on the Super Groopies' The Witcher 3 Ciri watch years ago. Look at how beautiful it is! Alas.
