Cindy Crawford's Son Presley Gerber Cremated After Autopsy

After Presley Gerber’s autopsy was completed, his body was cremated and his parents Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerbe will keep the ashes in Malibu, according to his death certificate.

Presley Gerber’s body has now been cremated.

Five days after the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber died of a suspected overdose inside a rehab facility in Los Angeles, his death certificate confirmed his body was cremated, according to the document obtained by TMZ on Sept. 25.

Presley’s ashes will be kept at Cindy and Rande’s home in Malibu, per the outlet.

Before Presley’s body was cremated, an autopsy was completed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, although his cause of death has been deferred, which the M.E. shared in a Sept. 21 statement means “additional testing and/or studies were requested in order to make a determination.”

Still, authorities confirmed that Presley—whose sister is Kaia Gerber—died at the rehab facility.

Now detectives are investigating the death as “a suspected overdose,” according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

“At this time, there is no indication of foul play,” the department told E! News in a Sept. 21 statement. “The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.”

Prior to his death, Presley’s sister had been candid about how their family was able to learn from his struggles with addiction and depression.

"My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything—and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, 'I'm gonna be very human for everyone,'" Kaia told Vogue in August. "There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them."

And for Presley, he saw his experience as one he could leverage to help others.

“Whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that's all I need to do," he said on a 2023 episode of the Studio 22 podcast. "That’s really what I want to do is help people—help people, whether you're depressed, you're struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean, it could be anything, and there's no judgment.”

Presley added, “I’ve seen a lot of stuff, and I’ve learned a lot of things, and what I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made."
