A student email address can help you or a student you know score plenty of savings -- from streaming to software to hardware and beyond. While several student discounts, like those offered on Apple Music or Spotify, are fairly well-known, there are plenty of offers that fly below the radar.

Here are my top educational offers that every student needs to know about this school year. For most, all you need is a .edu email address.

Apple offers a robust educational discount program that spans several of its products. Apple says its education pricing is available to current and newly accepted college students and their parents, as well as faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels. The specific guidelines for who qualifies are fully detailed on their website, but the gist is that it includes most faculty, staff, students, and parents.

The educational discounts vary across each product, but savings of up to $100 off newly released products, like the MacBook Neo, are included.
