Jonah Hill Shares He Privately Married, Welcomed Baby No. 2 With Olivia Millar
When Jonah Hill stepped back from the spotlight, he didn’t think it was an, er, super bad decision.
On the contrary, the actor previously noted that separating himself from the media was better for his mental health. As a result, fans learned less about his private world.
Like, did you know he’s really into Jiu-Jitsu?
"Hobbies are a huge part of my life and happiness as well," the Superbad alum shared on a recently resurfaced April recording of Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett’s podcast SmartLess. "I love Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, except my body is begging me to not love it. My wife is often like, 'You’re not going to become a professional fighter, you know that right? You’re a comedian.'"
Although, Hill noted the hosts wouldn’t be laughing if they ever got into a fight with him.
"I would f--k all three of you up," he replied when Bateman asked what would go down. "And that’s the best part. My favorite thing is people are like, 'Oh, Jonah Hill, f--king fat guy from Superbad.' And I’m like, 'I would f--king annihilate you, dude.' I’m not kidding, dude. Try it. If you see me, try it, dude. Unless you are way bigger than me, f--king f--k around and find out."
Not that Hill is looking for a brawl. "I’m being funny, by the way," he added. "I would f--k you up, but I am being funny."
He's agile, too, the 21 Jump Street star sharing he had more time for skateboarding and surfing before he became a married father of two.
Which, by the way, is another fun fact Hill revealed this past spring: He privately tied the knot with Olivia Millar, the fashion industry maven he first sparked romance rumors with back in 2022. And while fans knew the couple welcomed a baby back in 2023, Hill shared he and Millar recently added another member to their family.
"We have a new little baby, who is just a brand-new baby," he continued in the April interview, "and then we have an almost-3-year-old, both boys."
It looks like his eldest son has inherited his sense of humor too, with Hill noting the toddler will often try to make him laugh.
"He’ll be like, 'Dada, oh f--k,'" the 42-year-old added. "And I’m like, 'Family business, baby. Get out there!'"

But for now, Hill is keeping his family out of Hollywood as they moved from Los Angeles to San Diego three years ago.
"I wanted to leave L.A. and raise a family outside of Los Angeles away from entertainment," Hill explained. "I could maybe come back and then go back and forth. My neighbors are so cool. They never treat me weird or ask me about my job or anything."
Although, his neighbors are surely familiar with his credits—which range from comedies like Superbad, Get Him to the Greek and 21 Jump Street to TV dramas like Maniac to his Oscar-nominated performances in Moneyball and The Wolf of Wall Street.
Growing up in L.A., Hill assumed those types of accolades would fix all his problems. As he recalled in Stutz—his 2022 documentary that featured very honest conversations with his psychiatrist Dr. Phil Stutz—Hill was a "wildly insecure kid" and thought "success and awards will absolve me of the pain of life." However, he learned these weren’t the solutions.
"When it didn’t cure any of that stuff," Hill continued, "it made me beyond depressed."

The publicly scrutiny and body shaming he faced didn’t make things any easier.
"At the same time, the media kept being really brutal about my weight," Hill added. "It was just kind of free game for anyone to sort of hit my sore spot. It made me so defensive — like almost anticipating someone saying something mean. I'd be so angry. It kept me from feeling any sense of [being] able to grow past negative feelings about myself."
But after going through therapy, he noted, he began "locking that out or forming my own opinion of self." And he began setting more boundaries, including choosing not to do press around the doc.
“Through this journey of self-discovery within the film, I have come to the understanding that I have spent nearly 20 years experiencing anxiety attacks, which are exacerbated by media appearances and public facing events," Hill stated in an open letter obtained by E! News in 2022. "You won't see me out there promoting this film, or any of my upcoming films, while I take this important step to protect myself."

However, he’s since started to re-enter the public eye. Three years after appearing in 2023’s You People, Hill acted alongside Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer in the Apple TV movie Outcome—which he also directed, co-wrote and co-produced under his company Strong Baby. Plus, he worked behind and in-front of the camera in his upcoming comedy Cut Off, which features Kristen Wiig, Nathan Lane and Bette Midler.
And whatever the future holds, Hill knows he can always count on his family’s (Mc)lovin and support.
"I’ve been gone for a while, so I’m kind of coming back," he said during his April SmartLess interview. "I’m excited. 'Cause I got all serious for a while, and I wasn’t that happy. I wasn’t happy, and then I had my family and I got happy. And now, all I want to do is be funny again."
