PlayStation Plus Losing Multiple Games In 24 Hours

PlayStation Plus subscribers are treated to a vast selection of impressive new games every month. However, it is completely understandable that, while attempting to sift through it all and figure out what is actually worth playing, they miss one or two. These titles that fall through the cracks often end up being both the best and the first to go, and, sadly, a whole host of them are leaving the service in just a little while.

It isn't uncommon for PS Plus to lose games every now and then, but it is always frustrating, especially for those who failed to claim them when they were around, or those who were halfway through a playthrough that was suddenly cut short. In just 24 hours, three excellent games are leaving the service, and will become completely unavailable to all subscribers, no matter which tier you're on. So, for those who still want to give them a try, now is your very last chance.

Firstly, subscribers shouldn't worry too much at the loss of a handful of games from the PlayStation Plus service. While it is obviously a shame, there are so many more new games coming to PS Plus in the coming weeks and months, including several brand-new titles. It is the natural way of things with these subscription services, and while it's a trade-off that doesn't always quite pay dividends, it is nevertheless a necessity for the model to function.

However, that still doesn't quite lessen the blow of losing more games. Now that we know what games are coming to PS Plus in August, we also, sadly, know which are leaving. All three of the games added to the PS Plus Essential tier, which players get just a month to pick up, are disappearing on August 3, 2026, leaving very little time to grab them before they are gone. This includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Cross Gen Bundle, For the King 2, and the incredible CrossCode.

Fortunately, these games are being immediately replaced by Dyling Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, the newly released co-op title Big Walk, and the incredible, critically acclaimed survival horror game Signalis. Of course, it is up to the subscriber to determine whether the new games coming in are better than those leaving, but August's PS Plus titles are certainly an appealing bunch and will likely be worth continuing the subscription for another month for many.

Of course, when September rolls around, these games will disappear too. August's PS Plus titles are only available between 4 August 2026 and 31 August 2026, giving users just under a month to claim them, should they feel so inclined. More games will be coming to the other PlayStation Plus tiers, so users should also keep their eyes peeled for those when they are announced. Until then, be sure to grab the July PlayStation Plus Essential games before they're gone, as the clock is well and truly ticking.
