Toni Collette & Karren Karagulian Among New Additions To Netflix’s Italian-Set Romantic Caper ‘Positano’ From Daniel Roher

EXCLUSIVE: Daniel Roher, the Academy Award-winning director behind recent titles Tuner and The AI Doc, has added five to the cast of his new Netflix movie, Positano: Toni Collette (Hereditary), Karren Karagulian (Anora), Salvatore Esposito (Gomorrah), Michele Savoia (Ferrari) and Lorenzo de Moor (You, Me & Tuscany).

Starring Matthew McConaughey and Zoe Saldaña, Positano follows a charming jewel thief who gives up the good life to help a mysterious woman as they plot a high-stakes score that’s worth a lot more than just money.

Character details for the newcomers are under wraps.

Alessandro Tanaka and Brian Gatewood penned the script for Positano, which is being produced by Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan for Working Title, along with Derrin Schlesinger. Exec producers include Amelia Granger and Katherine Pomfret for Working Title, Alessandro Tanaka and Brian Gatewood.

Coming off roles in Netflix’s Wayward, Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17 and Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2, Collette’s upcoming slate includes the Morten Tyldum drama Ibelin, Fangs opposite Joel Edgerton, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s AI-themed thriller 2034 for Netflix, among other projects. She is repped by CAA, United Management, Finley Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Known for his work alongside Sean Baker on Anora, Red Rocket and more, Karagulian will next be seen in The Adventures of Cliff Booth, David Fincher’s follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, plus Amazon MGM’s holiday action comedy The Man with the Bag. He is repped by Buchwald, Curate, and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis.

Esposito will next appear opposite Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Andy Garcia and Jessica Alba in the drama Maserati: The Brothers. Past credits include Gomorrah, Den of Thieves: Pantera and Fargo Season 4. He is repped by TT Agency and Vault Entertainment.

Seen previously in Michael Mann’s Ferrari, Savoia is repped by C.D.A. Studio Di Nardo and Red Talent Management.
