Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Release Date Appears Online Ahead Of Nintendo Direct

Confirmation of the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as a remake was met with an enormous amount of excitement from the existing community. Revealed earlier this year, we only got a very brief look at what is going to be like via a short shot of the opening of the game where Link wakes up in his own bed.

Since then, things have been quite quiet, but Nintendo recently broke cover to confirm that a dedicated Nintendo Direct will reveal a lot more about the game, as well as other Zelda projects. That is set to go ahead tomorrow, September 8, and as part of that, we should get a release date to look forward to.

While that official confirmation will be nice, a potential release date has actually already appeared online, and it would make a lot of sense given what we know about the game already.

Over on Twitter/X, the user GameVerse shared a post that supposedly includes release dates for several major projects that Nintendo has in development right now. While these leaks are obviously to be taken with a pinch of salt, they currently place the release date for the Ocarina of Time remake at November 12, 2026.

That would give it a week to breathe ahead of the arrival of GTA VI which is bound to absorb much of the new cycle and player attention, as well as seeing it arrive in time for what will inevitably be a solid sales cycle heading into the holiday period.

The Ocarina of Time remake wasn't the only game included in the list, and there are several projects that fans will inevitably be excited about, from some of the most iconic franchises on the platform. The full list of included games is as follows:

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort (Oct. 22, 2026)
Minecraft (Oct. 27, 2026)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nov. 12, 2026)
Metroid: Ravenous (Dec. 10, 2026)
Mario Sluggers: Globe-Trotters (Jan. 21, 2027)
The Duskbloods (Holiday 2026)

The most questionable of those are Metroid: Ravenous and Mario Sluggers: Globe-Trotters, neither of which have received official confirmation from Nintendo at the time of writing.
