At this point in any big sales event, you've probably exhausted the obvious: SSDs, gaming PCs, RAM upgrades. Instead, what you really want is something fun and practical to spice up your desk. Luckily, this 3.5-inch Hagibis mini screen is exactly what you need. It acts as both a retro desk ornament and a fully-functional LCD display, featuring a built-in SD card reader and USB hub, and it's back to a record low price of just $79.99 for Prime Day.

This monitor was previously on sale for as high as $109.99, making this $79.99 sale price a much more competitive one for late Prime Day shoppers. Look, it isn't going to be rivalling a 4K OLED, but that really isn't the point here. This is a cool desk gadget with a functional use-case, with a 1980s-style, CRT-like design that is a lovely nostalgic throwback for techies of a certain vintage. It's also packed with a set of seriously useful features that make it a great addition to your setup.
This is a real monitor, shipping with a 3.5-inch IPS panel and a 178° viewing angle. The size means you're not going to be using this for your main display, but it does feature resolutions stretching from 800 x 600 to 2,560 x 1,600. 1600p might be a little small, however, on a display like this, versus the screen's recommended resolution of 960 x 640 for the sharpest images. Your mileage could vary, and the options do mean you can cycle through what works best for you, especially if you want to end up reading from the screen.
You get a decent set of connectivity with this Hagibis monitor, thanks to its built-in hub. It comes with SD and TF card slots, along with a USB-C port and two additional USB-A ports on the front, offering Gen 3.1 speeds. At the back, you get a 5V USB-C power connector, as well as an HDMI port and 3.5mm audio connector for speakers or headphones. There's also a USB-C port with a 'host' label, which you'll need to use to connect it to your USB to use it as a functional USB hub.
There's a big set of use cases for a display like this one: it's not just a gimmick. It looks great, so you can make your work or home office setup a bit more exciting to be around. It's also a good second display for notifications or small tasks you're working on.
For instance, it's a good option for using as an alarm clock or timer screen, or for keeping an eye on a Discord chat. You can also use it as a photo album or to keep an eye on your PC's health with usage and temperature stats. It's also big enough to stream videos from, keeping your main screen free for more important tasks. It has built-in widgets you can use if you run out of ideas, too, including ones that display a digital clock and ambient temperature.
This $79.99 Hagibis mini display is a brilliantly retro upgrade for your PC or laptop setup. The Amazon Black Friday sales are nearly over, however, and this price won't be around for long, so make sure to order it while you can.
